With 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, it sleeps your whole group comfortably and works just as well for a long weekend as for a week of remote work.

Inside, the great room has soaring vaulted ceilings of warm tongue-and-groove pine, massive exposed log beams, and a floor-to-ceiling river rock fireplace with a rustic log mantel. Settle into the leather seating or curl up on the built-in window seat with storage beneath, and watch the light move through the tall gable windows. A hand-peeled log staircase leads up to the loft, where a pool table, a comfy lounge sofa, and skylights sit under the exposed rafters. The loft overlooks the fireplace below, so the whole group can stay together.

The fully stocked kitchen is ready for everything from quick weekday breakfasts to full holiday dinners, with a gas cooktop on a butcher-block island, double wall ovens, a stainless dishwasher, and a farmhouse-style faucet. A bay-window nook with built-in bench seating is a sunny spot for morning coffee. For bigger meals, the dining area has an extendable table, a leather bench, and a sliding door to the deck, so you can eat with a forest view.

Remote workers will appreciate the dedicated desk set-up at Falcon Ridge. You can trade your commute for pine-scented air, take calls with a view of the trees, and be on a trail or in downtown Truckee by the time you log off. When the workday ends, the fireplace and the game room are right there waiting.

Sleeping arrangements include a king bed in the primary bedroom, two queen bedrooms, and a bunk room with 3 twins that kids will love (and adults who never outgrew the top bunk). Three bathrooms mean no morning bottleneck, and one has a deep corner soaking tub beside a frameless glass walk-in shower, all in natural stone-look tile. It’s the place to unwind after a day on the slopes or the trails. A full-size washer and dryer in the laundry room make longer stays easy and take care of wet gear after snow days. Outside, the covered porch is a good spot for morning coffee or evening stargazing, and the backyard has plenty of room to spread out while Sierra views surround you.

The location puts a wide range of year-round adventures close by. In summer, Donner Lake and Lake Tahoe are a short drive away for paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming, and lakeside dining, and Donner Memorial State Park offers hiking, picnicking, and the Emigrant Trail Museum.
