Inside, you'll find a clean design with hardwood floors, knotty pine walls, a large plaid sectional sofa, and a gas fireplace with a gorgeous stone facade. Returning from a walk on the beach, warm up in front of the fire while you talk about the day or listen to the Bose stereo. French doors lead out to an enclosed yard, complete with a patio and gas grill. The enclosed space is the perfect place to let the kids play, or set up an archway and chairs for an intimate wedding ceremony.

There is a large wooden dining table in this open living space, making family meals easy to plan and serve. And in the full kitchen, the chef in your group will be treated to granite countertops, a dishwasher, refrigerator, stovetop/oven, microwave, and even a coffee grinder. Bring your own beans from home or pick some up in neighboring Cannon Beach's Sleepy Monk Coffee Roasters.

The main level has a comfortable bedroom with one queen bed as well as the full bathroom, complete with a separate shower and a soaking tub. When you stay at the Peaceful Cottage in Gearhart, you'll also have a laundry room with a washer and dryer - so don't worry about keeping clothes clean while you explore the Coast!

Head upstairs for family time in the fun game room with mini pool table, DVD player, and the VCR. Bring your favorite movies from home. If you feel like exploring, Astoria is 15 miles north and boasts many restaurants, museums, and shops. And in 11 miles, you can be browsing galleries, walking along the beach by Haystack Rock, or sipping a mocha at Sleepy Monk in artsy, popular Cannon Beach.
