Go horseback riding at the stables two miles away, or play golf on tthe many public golf courses in Sunriver! The Nature Center and Observatory, just over a mile away, is home to majestic birds of prey, and you can view the stars through giant telescopes on certain nights.
Some fun destinations just outside of Sunriver include the Lava River Cave just a few miles north on Cottonwood and Benham Falls Trail for gorgeous summer hiking next to Class VI rapids! If the water draws your attention, consider a guided rafting trip through Sun Country Tours (you'll go on smaller rapids). For a slightly longer drive, head south 30 miles to Paulina Lake for an amazing volcanic lake with stunning views.
