I’ve now stayed here TWICE—once three years ago on a solo trip and again this year with my 10-year-old son—and I’d happily return.
One of the main reasons I booked again is the east-facing location, which gets later sun which makes the pool more fun! An East facing pool at such a reasonably priced hotel in Caye Caulker is hard to find! The setting feels calm and laid-back, which we really appreciated.
This visit was especially memorable because I got to meet some of the owners. As a solo parent traveling with a child, their suggestions, local connections, and activity ideas were incredibly helpful and took a lot of pressure off planning. We always had something great to do (and maybe a little too much sun!).
Any time we needed help, they went out of their way to make sure things were not just resolved, but better than expected.
The only possible downside is that it’s farther from the main strip, convenience stores, and most restaurants, though there are a few spots within a short walk. For us, the quieter location was worth it. Just rent a bike and it's not an issue at all.
My son said this stay was "Un- Belize- able!" ( And that is invaluable!)
