Recent Torian Plum - Steamboat Springs, CO vacation rental reviews

The unit itself is a 5 star - but the checkout harassment is unbelievable! First the condo: Nicely decorated, great location with a wonderful view of the slopes & down the valley, clean, comfy beds, nice linens - all excellent. Couple of issues with the stove not heating properly & a slow running sink which I'm guessing were just not previously reported. Everything else in great working order. Front desk/check-in staff were all very friendly & helpful. HOWEVER, I have never been so harassed about checkout in any other hotel or property rental I've ever stayed at. Checkout is at 10am and I received both a text and email the previous evening - plus another text & email AND phone call the morning of checkout. (We were NOT late checking out. These occurred between 8 and 9:30 am) To top it all off, the cleaning person had positioned the cart right outside of our room by 8:30am AND was standing outside of the room by 9am. WHY? (I sure hope she was getting paid to stand there for almost an hour...) Can't give this property a 5 star review because of the absolute hassle.

We spent three nights in Unit 403 of Torian Plum and found it to be exceptionally clean, and well appointed. Everything worked and they even left a starter bag of coffee. The entire property is exceptionally well taken care of and clean. The hosts at the check-in desk (on the property) were very friendly and helpful. We were able to park in the garage each night even though the spaces are not Unit specific. The Unit has a nice deck which looks out at the ski slopes and down on Ski Times Sqare; however, there was no furniture on the deck - no chairs, no table, nothing. We had to drag the heavy dining room chairs out there and use our cooler as a table to make it work. Not a big deal, but a bit unusual.
