Dog-friendly vacation rentals in South Scottsdale

Everything was wonderful from location to space. The WiFi was slow, but manageable. Would definitely stay again

This condo was absolutely fantastic for us. This is a much better value than a hotel with a LOT more space! It clearly is a recently completed condo and has all amenities to make it a great stay. Wonderfully large and well appointed kitchen. Laundry right in unit allows us to pack much less and do a couple of quick loads during our stay! Top level bedding, furnishings and window coverings make this condo amazing. The location quite literally can not be beat in Old Town Scottsdale. Directly above the Grimaldi's Pizza restaurant, but amazingly QUIET and no restaurant smell of any kind(I was a bit worried about this before we arrived). Such a good location, skip the rental car(even though they have a parking lot for that)! Closets for holding your clothes are gigantic! I would say if you are fanatical about having a swimming pool or amazing views, this may not be the place for you. One window has a nice view of Camelback but most windows do not have tremendous views, but honestly, that's never been that important to us. I'm guessing this condo is about 1200 SQ FT or so, very spacious with excellent HVAC (we like it cold when we sleep and it was icy AC!). We liked it so much, we've already rebooked for next year!

When booking a VRBO one always hopes that the photos and pictures are worth a 1000 words. This 2 bedroom 2 bath vacation rental lives up to it!! We weren’t sure what to expect due to the location above Grimaldi’s pizzeria; however, the location is great, convenient to all of Old Town Scottsdale. We used Waymo to get around further from the Old Town area; however, there is plenty of parking behind the pizzeria if a rental vehicle is used. It was nice to know how these apartments came to be as it is an odd location. The upstairs used to be Grimaldi’s corporate office before turning them into apartments. Upon arrival the elevator isn’t easy to see, but once you know where to go it’s “easy peasy”. The area is extremely quiet at night which is nice. We were able to check in early which was very nice especially with keypad entry. Bedrooms - king size beds are very comfortable, very spacious walking closet in one room and a double closet with organizers in the other room. Only one of the bedrooms has a master bath in the room. There was a minor complaint that this bathroom has fair shower water pressure and the faucet on the sink sits back too far which is only an issue if you don’t turn on the water all the way; otherwise it doesn’t hit the sink and water will go all over the countertop. The other bathroom was fine - Shower heads are meant for someone 7’ tall which makes it a challenge for those of us that are 5’3-6’. Amenities are amble with hairdryers in both bathroom. There is plenty of extra of everything from towels to bedding in the closets. Televisions are in both bedrooms for convenience. Living area is a great size with plenty of seating in the kitchen area and at the island. If you are to dine in and cook there is plenty of everything needed. Extra nice to have a great fridge and wine fridge is a bonus. A good butcher block knife set, regular coffee pot are on the counter. Plenty of wine glasses and serving ware. The minor issues would not stop us from staying at this location again. Especially since it’s well worth eating Grimaldi’s pizza and the location. We stayed in apartment #101 - #102 looks to have all hardwood look flooring which would be very nice and a little of a different look of furnishings.
