Great place to stay!
Jeanne H. | Mar 2021
The high ceilings of this two-story condo made it feel very spacious for our group of 9. It was also wonderfully convenient to have 3 full baths. It was such an easy distance to the mountain each day for skiing (we even walked back a couple times but the shuttle is very handy also). My mother loved the fully equipped kitchen and that there was enough dining space for everyone to eat meals and play games together. All of the thoughtful touches were there too (extra blankets, box fans, puzzles, DVDs, travel size toiletries, etc.). We weren't able to get the fireplace started but didn't bother reaching out to management about it since the heaters worked so well. If you stay up in the loft you'll be able to wake up to the sound of breakfast cooking each morning. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return to Angel Fire in the future.

It was our first trip to Angel Fire and the Painted Pony Cabin did not disappoint. The size of the cabin was perfect. My OCD self loved all the organization and the way they had labels on everything with directions and where to find stuff. The location was so close to the moutain and I would highly recommend and we cannot wait to go back outselves.

Find New Mexico vacation rentals and cabins

With a state motto like “The Land of Enchantment,” it’s hard to go wrong in magical New Mexico. Red dirt, rugged forests, otherworldly dune landscapes, pristine ski runs, and so much more await New Mexico visitors. None of this is new to the state’s residents. The Taos Pueblo, for instance, has been inhabited for over one thousand years. However, with one of the lowest population densities in the United States (44th, with only 17 people per square mile on average), one might say there’s more than enough New Mexico to go around. Come see what it’s all about—we offer New Mexico vacation rentals for every taste.

Skiing in New Mexico

During the winter, New Mexico transforms into a skier’s paradise. Destinations like Angel Fire are known by locals and visitors alike as low-key alternatives to the crowded resort towns of other states. With over 80 trails, Angel Fire Resort offers some of the finest skiing in the country. Plus, there are plenty of options for advanced skiers, like night skiing and terrain parks. For beginners, you’ll find tons of lessons, easy slopes, and, of course, cafes and in-town diversions if you decide that skiing really isn’t for you. It’s all possible from the comfort of your New Mexico cabin rental.

National forests in New Mexico

Summer visitors to our New Mexico cabin rentals are rewarded with the state’s bounty of national forests. Take advantage of the mountains’ mild summer climate and hike in the Carson National Forest, the southernmost portion of the Rocky Mountains. The layered red stone of the Echo Amphitheatre is a must-see, and Eagle Rock Lake makes a delightful destination for fishing enthusiasts. The sprawling Lincoln National Forest and wild Cibola National Forest are further proof that New Mexico is the perfect place to slow down and reconnect with nature.

Whether you’re visiting the Land of Enchantment to find yourself on the trails or give the kids a proper ski education, you won’t be disappointed in what this beautiful state has to offer. Settle into your New Mexico vacation rental and let the adventure begin!
