The cabin was clean, comfortable Our family truly enjoyed our stay
Donna Marie G. | Mar 2026
The house was very cute in a nice location in Chimney Hill with access to ice skating, pool and downtown Wilmington shops, including a cute local bookstore and some great restaurants. Access to Mount Snow was easy. I would recommend this place barring a few items get resolved on the house.

Our family had a wonderful stay on Lilla Ln. Quick drive to Mount Snow. The home was clean and warm. We appreciated the high capacity wifi and Roku TV (updated from one depicted on post). The kitchen was used for several meal and we had all that we needed. The community pool and hot tub were accessible, clean and fun. Heed hosts warning that the driveway is steep and can be icy. 4 wheel drive is necessary or you will have to park at the bottom and walk up the drive. Would stay again!

Local tips for visiting Chimney Hill

Chimney Hill access and arrival: Mountain roads, parking and winter driving

Chimney Hill’s roads are hilly and can be narrow in spots, which is part of the mountain-community experience. In snow season, conditions can change quickly—plowing schedules, packed snow, and ice are common. If you’re visiting in winter, all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive is strongly recommended, and snow tires make a noticeable difference.

Check your rental listing for parking notes before you arrive. Some homes have steep driveways, limited turnaround space, or designated spots. If you’re traveling with multiple vehicles, confirm how many cars can park comfortably and whether roadside parking is permitted.

Chimney Hill community rules, amenities, and what guests commonly miss

Chimney Hill is a residential community with shared spaces, posted rules, and seasonal operations. Amenity access can depend on the time of year, scheduled hours, and capacity limits. Review the details provided with your booking for what’s included, what requires passes or registration, and any quiet-hour policies.

Guests are often surprised by how much a few small logistics can matter in a mountain rental. Bring what you need for everyday comfort—especially in winter—and plan for limited immediate services once you’re up the hill.
