We have relatives in Sacramento, and we often book houses for a few days so we can spend time with them. We come to Sacramento at least three times a year. For a long time, I had been looking for the perfect place to stay, but over the past several years, I had never found a place that truly felt like “the one” — a place I would want to return to again and again.
And finally, I found it.
This sweet, cozy little house on a quiet street in a safe and peaceful neighborhood is simply wonderful. It is cozy, beautiful, and incredibly comfortable. We slept so well here. I loved the comfortable beds, the quietness, and the beautiful birds singing outside the window. I also loved the orange trees right across from the front door, and the charming little backyard with a table and barbecue.
This home feels like it was made for peaceful, cozy relaxation. It has so much character, with many interesting vintage details throughout the house. It is actually enjoyable to take the time to look around and notice all the little things.
The cleanliness was absolutely outstanding.
But what I loved most of all was the host. She is truly a very kind person. Believe me, it always matters who the owner of the house is — because if any issue comes up, it is so important to have someone responsive and caring on the other side. The host was absolutely wonderful. She was always available, responded very quickly, and genuinely tried to help with everything.
A huge thank-you to her for that.
Our stay was truly unforgettable, and from now on, whenever we come to Sacramento, we will always want to stay here. You will not find a better place.

We stayed with 2 adults and 4 teenagers. We found the place to be comfortable, well stocked to cook, and a great location to quickly get to the freeway, and restaurants. The owners thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. We appreciated it!

We wanted to keep our 4yo and newborn close by while at Aftershock. This place was spacious enough and had everything you could need. The on-site playground was great so no one was bored. It was also close enough to stores that stroller rides for quick errands were possible.
