The place was great. Loved the cabin feel and the fireplace. My little guy and his dog loved the yard, I felt secure in them being outside with me being right there. Kitchen had all the necessities. Downstairs bed was comfortable, upstairs beds are older and could be comfortable with the addition of some mattress toppers. Assistance was very prompt when we ran into a minor problem. Will check for availability next time we plan a trip to the area.

This place is very clean and has a wow factor! It has everything you need! We didn't even do anything on the first night but just stay in and enjoy the house. It may sound funny but I was so happy to see that the toilets have toddler seat attached! Love the decor in this house. Love the cabin feel. They have a lot of spare towels, sheets, toiletries! We were so impressed. The appliances look new and very nice. They have a nice size fridge! There's a coffee maker too. No rice cooker but that's ok, we brought ours 🤣 The tv and surround system is superb!!! It's too high tech for us I guess but we worked it out. We had a great time doing karaoke night. The hot tub is very nice! I'd say, it can fit 5-7 people. There's just 4 seats basically but I think 5-7 can fit in. My daughter loved the hot tub! So nice being outside in the tub. They also have a grill outside but we didn't use it. It was very quiet too when we went because it was in the weekday. It was like a ghost town. We needed peace and quiet so we chose to go on a weekday. No snow yet, which is ok. It was already cold in the morning but this house has a great heater system. We would love to stay here again. This is by far the best vacation house we've stayed at. Thank you!

Where are our Big Bear Lake cabin rentals?

In the heart of the San Bernardino National Forest and on the shores of Big Bear Lake, you'll find the beautiful Big Bear. This area—popular among both tourists and locals—includes both the city of Big Bear Lake and the slightly smaller town of Big Bear City.

Here you'll enjoy a quiet escape surrounded by California's natural beauty, while still being a day trip from larger cities, should you choose. The city is less than 100 miles from the bustling metropolis of Los Angeles and approximately 145 miles north of vibrant San Diego. Big Bear Lake cabins have been a popular destination since the early 1920s, and the area still promises an unforgettable experience for guests of all ages.

Things to do near our Big Bear Lake cabin rentals

During the warmer months, you'll find most of the area's visitors and locals enjoying the water and trying to catch trout for dinner. When you stay in one of our Big Bear rentals with an outdoor grill, you can enjoy cooking up your own fresh-caught fish for dinner. As Southern California's largest recreation lake, Big Bear Lake is a fisherman's paradise in the summer and is also beloved for its boating, canoeing, and kayaking.

The hiking trails near Big Bear are abundant and provide unforgettable mountain views. From kid-friendly excursions like Castle Rock Trail to the more challenging Cougar Crest Trail, there are outdoor adventures for every skill level. Best of all, many of these trails are pet-friendly—just like our Big Bear rentals—so your pup can join in on all the fun.

When the snow falls, our ski chalets are the place to be. With rentals at two winter resorts—Bear Mountain and Snow Summit—you'll have plenty of downhill skiing and snowboarding at your fingertips. For those less inclined towards downhill, the area's hiking and biking trails also transition to cross-country and snowshoeing terrain. After spending an afternoon in fresh powder, you can head back to your Big Bear Lake cabin rental and warm up with a mug of hot chocolate in front of the fire, or by soaking your tired muscles in your hot tub.

Despite its small size, the town of Big Bear Lake has everything you might need during a getaway to the mountains: restaurants, shops, festivals and events, and a farmers market. Almost all of our Big Bear vacation rentals include fully-equipped kitchens, so you can pick up a bounty of local produce and prepare meals right in the comfort of your own home away from home.

Big Bear proves there's so much more to Southern California than beautiful beaches and boardwalks. Discover the magic for yourself with a stay in one of our luxury lodges, laid-back cottages, or cozy Big Bear Lake cabins.
