- We had thermostat problems causing us to have to turn the unit off for a few hrs at a time at nite. So you'd be freezing, then too hot in cycles every few hours as you tried to sleep. We didn't contact the owner about this since we were only there a few nites. Perhaps the thermostat needs an adjustment. - You can hear every footstep, very loudly, from the neighbors above. Unfortunately the folks above us came home from bars at 3 one nite, 2 the next, and I think they woke up 5am to pack for departure our last nite. If the folks above kept normal hours I wouldn't have noticed this though. Beds were very comfy, hot-tub was great, you can ski-in all the way to edge of the building's entry door. The walk to the lift (by sky cab) was a min or two. Walk to the free shuttles was just a few mins. Aesthetically the place is so-so, but it felt appropriate price-wise.

This is a very spacious unit, especially for a studio layout. The two double beds make it comfortable and practical for families traveling with kids. There are two large closets, which provide plenty of storage space for everyone’s belongings. The location is very convenient. You can easily walk to Base Village for shopping and dining. The nearest lift is the Village Express Chair, and you can also take the Sky Cab Gondola to Snowmass Mall. For ski access, you can ski in directly to the front of the building at the end of the day. When heading out in the morning, you will need to ski to the stairs near the Village Express Chair and remove your skis or board to walk up to the lift. It is still very convenient and manageable. One thing to note is that they have a strict check in schedule, and there is no luggage storage available before check in time. If you arrive early and plan to hit the slopes right away, you will need to arrange luggage storage elsewhere. Overall, I highly recommend this unit. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back

I will start with answering the questions we had before booking, that are not on the listing and wrong information provided by the "toll-free" number. This is a walk out unit from the living room, however you are required to take the stairs or elevator from your car and luggage to enter. The pool and hot tub are both OPEN during the winter. You can ski to the door, but not to the lift. You are at the same elevation as the lift terminal, so you can push for about 100ft and go up and around the fencing, or walk down the stairs then back up the stairs around the lift queue lines. The kitchen is NOT well stocked. We had a group of four, and there was not four of a kind of anything in the kitchen. There was NO provided coffee and they did not provided or basic food prep items. (no seasonings, non-stick spray, olive oil, etc.) The lamps next to couch are non-functional. The cord is wound up and secured, resulting in the lighting in the unit to be poor. Overhead lights above bed are also non-functional. The sofa sleeper mattress has reached it's end of life. What we liked was the location, very accessible and covered parking. I would suggest this owner get a local operator with a focus on the in room guest hospitality experience. Not just housekeeping and booking process.

We stayed here 4 nights. It was very comfortable and it is “walk to ski” and ski in. The walk is not too long and along well packed snow to a set a of stairs and then down to the entrance of the sky cab. The unit is very comfortable, but there is no overhead lighting, it is lit via lamps. One of the lamps was broken, but it was quickly fixed during our stay. That said, the unit is a little dark at night even with all the lamps on. We also did not turn on the heat. The unit stayed at about 68 to 72 degrees without any heat on. If you like it cooler, you may have to crack a window.
