Recent Bisbee vacation rental reviews

The Apartment is old. But everything in Bisbee is old, so we knew that going in; so our expectations were tempered to begin with. The Apartment is generally clean and well stocked with lots of towels, kitchen utensils, clean bedding, and lots of coffee, ice, bottled water, etc., etc. The worst part of the rental is that there is no on-site parking. We could have tried to park close on the very, very narrow one-way street -- but we chose to temporarily block the street while un-loading and then park a block away next to the old high school. The outdated very tiny ROKU TV is pretty much worthless, but who goes to Bisbee to watch TV anyway? If you've never been there, you should be prepared to spend a lot of energy climbing up and down lots of very steep stairways to go between the apartment and Bisbee's shops and restaurants on Main Street. A big plus is that this location is centrally located. The local contact, Rosie, was very helpful and responsive to text messages and the owner, Joseph, was easy to deal with.

Plan your Bisbee getaway

Bisbee is a compact hillside town where copper-mining history, offbeat museums, galleries, and walkable Old Bisbee evenings shape an easy Arizona long weekend. Bisbee vacation rentals work well for couples, families, groups, and history-minded travelers who want access to Queen Mine Tours, the Bisbee Mining and Historical Museum, and Old Bisbee Brewing Company.

As you compare homes, think about whether you want to stay close to Old Bisbee, near galleries and nightlife, or in a quieter setting with space to recharge after walking the hills. Each home is unique, so review listing details for parking, kitchens, pet policies, WiFi, laundry, outdoor space, stairs, and seasonal cooling details before you book.

Things to do in Bisbee

Looking for things to do in Bisbee, AZ? Start with the town’s mining history, then add quirky evening attractions, local landmarks, and a slower reset when your group wants a break from walking Old Bisbee.

Queen Mine Tours

Queen Mine Tours takes visitors underground to experience Bisbee’s copper-mining story in the place it actually happened. It’s the signature first-time activity for families, groups, and anyone who wants a hands-on anchor before exploring Old Bisbee.

Best for:

Bisbee Mining and Historical Museum

Bisbee Mining and Historical Museum gives travelers a deeper look at the town’s mining boom years and borderlands history. It pairs naturally with Queen Mine Tours, helping visitors connect the underground tour to the larger story of Bisbee.

Best for:

The Bisbee Seance Room

The Bisbee Seance Room is a playful, spooky-leaning attraction that fits the town’s eccentric personality. It works well as an evening option for groups who want something different from a bar-only night out.

Best for:

Bisbee City Pool

Bisbee City Pool is a simple, local-feeling place to cool off, especially during summer stays or family trips. Use it as a reset between walking Old Bisbee, exploring museums, and heading out for a regional day trip.

Warren Ballpark

Warren Ballpark adds a small-town Americana layer to a Bisbee stay, with community history beyond the core Old Bisbee blocks. It’s a good fit for history-minded visitors who like local landmarks that are easy to pair with a slower outing.

Where to eat in Bisbee

Dining in Bisbee is easiest to plan around Old Bisbee, the historic downtown core where most visitors spend their evenings. Expect walkable cafes, dessert stops, bars, and brewery time close together, making it easy to pace the day around mine tours, galleries, and hills.

If you prefer relaxed meals at your rental, check each listing for kitchen setup, dining space, outdoor seating, and parking. Features vary by home, so confirm the setup that matters most before you book.

Cafe Roka

Cafe Roka is a long-running Bisbee dining room with a more special-occasion feel than much of the town’s casual, walk-in scene. It works well for couples, milestone trips, or travelers planning one reservation-worthy night in town.

Old Bisbee Brewing Company

Old Bisbee Brewing Company is a central local brewery stop that fits naturally into an afternoon of galleries, shops, and lingering patio time. It’s a low-planning social stop for groups who want something distinctly tied to Old Bisbee.

Bisbee local tips

Day trips from Bisbee

Bisbee makes a practical base for southern Arizona outings that feel very different from an Old Bisbee day. Plan these as separate half-day or full-day trips, and check current road, weather, hours, and access details before you go.

Coronado National Memorial

Coronado National Memorial is a near-border National Park Service site with desert views and an outdoors-first feel. It works well as a half-day to full-day nature reset when you want open landscapes beyond Bisbee’s in-town historic wandering.

San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area

San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area is a BLM-managed desert river corridor with wildlife habitat, hiking, and birding. It’s a strong contrast to Bisbee’s hills and a useful named public-land outing for nature-focused travelers.

Chiricahua National Monument

Chiricahua National Monument is known for dramatic rock formations and a landscape that feels completely different from Bisbee’s mining-town setting. Treat it as the big nature day when your group wants a full outing beyond the immediate area.

Fort Bowie National Historic Site

Fort Bowie National Historic Site is a remote-feeling National Park Service site that adds frontier history to a Bisbee trip. It’s a good fit for history-focused visitors who want an NPS-managed counterpoint to Bisbee’s mining story.

Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park

Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park gives travelers a focused way to experience the area’s “Wild West” history outside Bisbee. Plan Tombstone as its own outing with a separate walkable historic core, not as an extension of Old Bisbee.
