Just steps away from the lanai you’ll be able to enjoy the pool, the hot tub, grill with your ohana at our shared grills and for the more active, there are tennis courts within walking distance as well. Featuring sun-soaked interiors and plenty of updated amenities, be sure to utilize the private washer/dryer for swimsuits and gear after a full day of surf and sand. Just down the street is one of the island's nicest beaches, Kepuhi Beach, and a little further down is Make Horse, another one of Molokai’s hidden gems. Prepare to relax in this space and let your worries drift away with the tide and wrap up your day with your favorite drink as you watch the sunset.

Kepuhi Beach Resort is an oceanfront property on the west end of the island of Molokai, with grounds that include an oceanfront swimming pool, gas grills with picnic tables, and a sundry shop with trinkets and food to purchase. Right out front, on both sides of the old hotel, is Kepuhi Beach, which is great for surfing in the winter months, ideal for swimming and snorkeling come summer, and the site of many paddle races to Oahu. You'll also be a short stroll across the old golf course from Papohaku Beach, one of the longest beaches in the state of Hawaii with waters that are rough in the winter but calmer for ocean swimming in summer. Kepuhi Beach Resort is less than a mile from Make Horse and its many tidepools, seven miles northwest of the town of Maunaloa (the only town on the west end), and 20 miles west of Kaunakakai, where most grocery stores, art/gift shops, mini markets, restaurants, and equipment rentals are located.

This arid west side of Molokai, just 12 miles from the airport, is known for having less rain than the east side of the island. And the island-wide evening quiet hours make Molokai perfect for romance, families, solitude, and experiencing a glimpse of the real Hawaii away from the tourist crowds. Molokai is about entertaining yourselves, although Hotel Molokai on a Friday night is entertaining itself!

Guests at Ke Nani Kai enjoy access to the communal pool, hot tub, BBQs, plus nearby beach access and a disabled parking spot on site. The grounds are landscaped with gardens, and units include private lanais for relaxing between beach visits.

The neighborhood:
Molokai's west end is for travelers who want Hawaii without the rush. Ke Nani Kai is near Kepuhi Beach, where open water, palms, and long quiet stretches of coast set the pace. Explore the shoreline, look for tide pools when conditions allow, or make the scenic drive toward Papohaku Beach for a bigger sweep of sand. There is no busy town center at the door, and that is the point. This is a place for families and couples to read, reset, and share unhurried island days.

Getting around:
Molokai Airport (MKK) in Hoolehua is about 20 to 25 minutes from Maunaloa. A rental car is essential on this quiet, spread out west end, where services are limited and beaches are a short drive away. The small town center allows a limited stroll on foot. Parking is easy and uncrowded, which suits Molokai's slower pace.
