After you arrive in your white seashell driveway, climb three stairs to the bright turquoise front door, stepping into an enclosed porch area, at which you'll want to sit and watch the romantic, white-paneled curtains flutter with the ocean wind. When you head into the home, you’ll finally get to see the gorgeous light-filled living room, enjoying the breeze coming through the open window as you lounge on the luxurious cotton sectional sofa.

If you’re an avid reader, there’s a small selection of books for your perusal nearby, and do take note of the gorgeous artwork and wildlife photographs on the wall, all by local artists.

In the evening, rest against seaside-inspired throw pillows and warm yourself by the elegant gas fireplace. Don’t forget to bring a selection of your favorite movies from home - there’s a large flatscreen TV and a DVD player here! Set a bowl of freshly popped popcorn down on the coffee table and watch your selection.

This home flows beautifully - look through the large cutout wall right into the kitchen area! You can sit on one of four modern stools at the breakfast bar and watch the chef in your party craft an elegant meal in the lovely kitchen. Black fixtures and granite countertops contrast wonderfully with snow white cabinets and warm hardwood floors. You'll find stainless steel appliances, including a microwave, gas range, large oven, fridge, and dishwasher.

Eat at the small dining table inside or take your meal outside to the back deck, which runs the length of the home, sitting down at the colorful four-person table. Outside, you’ll also find a gas grill and fire pit, as well as a wonderful outdoor lounge area with a sofa, chairs, and coffee table. There are even four beach chairs on the front porch for guest use.

Two wonderful bedrooms will sleep up to five lucky guests. The first bedroom, with a full bed, is located off the hallway. The spacious master bedroom has a queen bed with lovely sea-themed throw pillows, a full futon for more accommodations, and an attached full bathroom with a huge tile shower. The master also has access to the backyard through the sliding glass doors. There's another full bathroom just off the kitchen, with its own glass-enclosed shower.

Guests get central AC and ceiling fans in every room to keep cool during the summer! Head downstairs to the partially finished basement to find a private washer/dryer.

Appearing as an unnamed island in one of Captain John Smith’s maps, Plum Island is steeped in history. If you’re a nature and wildlife lover and in the mood for some adventure, drive just eight miles to the Sandy Point State Reservation on the south end of Plum Island.

Walk or drive just over a mile to town and try Mad Martha’s Island Cafe for the best breakfast in Newbury, or if you get a late start to the day, Beachcoma is great for casual lunches near the beach. Better yet, savor a glass of wine as you watch the sunset at the Plum Island Grille.
