Summer is a good time to be in Chattanooga, and on East Main Street, you’ll be close to all the fun. Friday nights May through July mean free live music from local artists at Nightfall in Miller Plaza. Saturdays through September 5, Riverfront Nights does the same thing on the Tennessee River at Ross's Landing, plus plenty of food trucks and other vendors. On July 11, the World Food Truck Festival takes over the Riverpark, and August 1 brings the Margarita Festival to First Horizon Pavilion as 20+ local restaurants compete for the best drink. It's also worth knowing that Chattanooga is marking America’s 250th anniversary with a weekend-long line-up, complete with the biggest drone show in local history, stunning fireworks over the river, more free concerts, and a community poetry installation launching June 28.
