It's also only a short stroll from Whale Watch Point, three miles north of Walk On Beach, and three miles south of shops, art galleries, and restaurants in downtown Gualala. Stroll over to the Sea Ranch Golf Links to play 18 scenic holes, or take a morning hike just outside your door to watch for grey whales, sea lions, and harbor seals.

This home is also just 22 miles from the Point Arena Lighthouse and 52 miles south of Mendocino - both of which sit on a magnificent and quiet stretch of California Highway 1. Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa is the nearest airport, about 1.5 hours east. A car is essential for exploring the area.

Sea Ranch has three recreation centers with heated pools, saunas, and tennis courts. Access passes are provided with your stay -- check availability upon arrival as these shared amenities can be popular during peak times.

Exterior lighting is minimal by design to preserve the stunning dark sky -- bring a flashlight for evening walks and enjoy some of the best stargazing on the California coast.

Keep your eyes on the horizon from December to April -- gray whales migrate just offshore, and this property has a front-row seat. Visit in spring and the meadows explode with wildflowers. April through June is peak bloom season along the Sonoma Coast. The warmest months are June through September. Expect coastal fog most mornings that gives way to sunny afternoons.
