The vacation rental is centrally located for a great vacation in any season. A brief drive brings you to the Heavenly California Lodge. Visiting in the summer? Ski Run Marina, a South Lake Tahoe landmark since 1939, is within walking distance. Take a cruise on the famous Tahoe Queen, an authentic Mississippi paddle-wheeler.

Relax in the cozy living area with a TV with a DVD player; enjoy the well-equipped open kitchen with custom cabinets. Family meals can be taken at the dining table. Sliding doors lead out to the upper deck with views of the surrounding trees.

The primary bedroom has a rustic log frame bed, a TV, and private access to the lower balcony. One bedroom is a hanging loft accessed by a ladder via the living space. Teens and older kids will love sleeping high above the action with their own TV. One bathroom indulges with heated floors, a stylish glass pedestal sink, and a tiled walk-in shower.

• Tahoe is home to many animals. You may experience bears, raccoons, mice, and other animals. Meadows are home to many rodents. When these areas are filled with water or snow, these animals move to homes in the area. You may experience these animals in or near your home.
