1. Get this paradise started

Searches for tropical destinations are way up, with Hawaii seeing a 123% surge in searches year-over-year and Costa Rica a close runner-up.

2. Thursday is the new Friday

Reservations starting on Thursdays are up 70%, likely due to remote and hybrid work environments that allow travelers to hit the road sooner.

3. The magic of mid-length stays

Travelers are averaging four-night stays during their getaways, but that average jumps to nearly six nights in January as guests cozy up and settle in.
