I've been wanting to stay at Blue Skies for a while, but my husband wasn't game, so my college roomie and I planned a girls weekend try it. Miss Mary Longbottom is very quaint and comfortable. While it sleeps 3, I can't imagine having a 3rd person in there. It would be tight.
The ceiling is low and the main bed is maybe 6' long, so I'm glad my husband had been hesitant. At 6'5", he'd have been uncomfortable/ bordering on miserable. Which means I too would've been bordering on miserable.
When I made the reservation, I completely missed any mention that all of the showers are outdoor showers. February can run the gamut from temps in the teens to the 80s. We lucked out that our weather was in the low 50s to mid-60s, but that morning shower was a tad brisk. If I'd known this, I also would've packed shower shoes.
I typically joke with friends that "camping for me is a hotel without room service" so it didn't occur to me to pack a flashlight for walking to the private bathroom after dark. It would be nice if there was one in the camper for guest use.
I think this property could be a lot of fun to rent out the whole thing with a good group of (probably short) friends when the weather is a little warmer. It was too damp and cool for us to take advantage of the grills, outdoor fireplace or pool but they looked clean and well maintained.
Loved the atmosphere and how peaceful it was out on the land.
we enjoy the view sunset and sunrise is so worth it there just for that alone! the vinyl record player classic.City was close to F-burg. We had a real romantic night.
