Recent Ledges at Hawk Mountain - Plymouth vacation rental reviews

This home was better than advertised. The living room and den were more spacious than indicated on the pictures. The hot tub and sauna were large, well maintained and a perfect addition to the apres ski lifestyle. It is 15-20 mins from Killington by car, depending on the base. Highly recommend for a group of friends or family vacation and the house fits 8 people comfortably. We’ll definitely be back!

Read on - but this place may be the best “sleeper” value in Vermont. Nice condo up the side of a mountain, near Okemo and close enough to Killington. Quite frankly I’m surprised the Hawk Mountain resort is not more popular and vibrant. It is a beautiful setting, with a nearly 2 mile switchback ride up the side of a mountain to this condo. A great concept that got a brief exciting life maybe 40 years ago. The base resort is now dead with the restaurant closed, along with the community pool, etc. All that said, as a former Vermont resident, I’m on board with the owners here and see this neighborhood as an astounding value. This unit is clean and professionally managed with crisp and clean linens, nice bathrooms and a well appointed kitchen. The full stock of dry firewood right outside the front door may be the best feature. It is a great place to gather around the fire place at the end of the day. Mornings at the table next to the well appointed kitchen are great too (the kitchen has everything you could want). Ludlow doesn’t really offer much in terms of nightlife, so if you are willing to drive another 10 minutes out of town you won’t find a better place to spend your time. Just look out for the speed trap near Echo Lake Inn - this route has 7 different speed limits in as many miles!

We loved this house! It was clean, full of charm, and it felt like we had our own private spa with both a hot tub and sauna. It’s the perfect combination of cozy rustic and vacation luxury. We will absolutely be coming back!
