Everything was great. Booking was easy and the house and location were beautiful, the only down side was the beds were a little uncomfortable.

Home was perfect for us we have a toddler so it was nice seeing a place set up in such a way to keep even the little ones safe. Very clean and great Wifi as well. Would definitely stay again.

Beautifu location nice and clean spacious beautiful rental, peaceful and quiet. We (young couple) stayed here after delivering our newborn to get some privacy and bonding time alone (for safety of baby by preventing exposure to covid). Home has an Awesome tub outside on the upper deck we loved the family of deer who visit in the yard and two very friendly kitties greeted us everytime we pull back in the driveway, even tried to come in the house to visit. This place has everything you need for comfortable stay we were here a month and never needed anything extra besides the normal clothes, hygienes food etc. There's a comfy bed with soft bedding big fluffy futon to watch TV on and lots of natural lighting when you open curtains. They even provided a treat of coffee and sugar. Overall this is a wonderful complete rental and we recommend anyone to stay at this gem of a dojo. Its not too far from town and yet it is up a beautiful road that's quiet and tuck back on the hillside directly off the main highway 101. Go stay at the dojo Fortuna you won't regret it

You could also drive to Fortuna from Red Bluff along California Highway 36. This route through Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park, though a bit treacherous with its many twists and sections lacking guardrails, is a favorite of motorcyclists and is considered one of the most scenic drives in the U.S.

For a day at Centerville Beach on the Pacific, take Highway 211 to the Victorian village of Ferndale, then head west on Centerville Rd. all the way to the ocean. Past the Fern Cottage Historic District the road gets a bit rough, but you’ll be rewarded with a pastoral landscape that culminates at a large, dark-sand beach flanked by sandstone bluffs and strewn with wave-worn stones and sun-bleached driftwood.

If anything on land can match the majesty of the Pacific Ocean off the northwest coast of California, it’s the giant redwoods in Humboldt Redwoods State Park. The city of Fortuna lies nestled between these natural wonders. Nearly extinct, California’s Lost Coast is one of the last remaining places on the planet where you can see these magnificent trees. Thankfully for you, our Fortuna vacation rentals are just 15.5 miles from the entrance to the Avenue of the Giants in the Humboldt Redwoods State Park.

To reach the Avenue of the Giants entrance at Pepperwood, head out of Fortuna on Highway 101 and follow the Eel River south to Exit 674. You’ll find several easy to moderate hiking trails, the shortest being half a mile long and the longest three and a half miles long. There are also a number of attractions along the Avenue of the Giants. Some attractions are free to visit, like the Living Chimney Tree, Eternal Tree House, and the 1,800-year-old Grandfather Tree. Other Avenue of the Giants attractions, such as the Shrine Drive-Thru Tree, charge an admission fee. Several attractions include gift shops, and some also sell concessions.
