The living area features lots of windows for natural light, comfortable furniture, a TV with dish service, a DVD player, and a DVD library. Here, you can gather your friends and family for a fun movie night or an evening of board games. The full kitchen has all the appliances needed for vacation meals - start the day with scrambled eggs and bacon, and finish it with a roast chicken. Of course, if you don't feel like cooking, you can always head out to one of the area's restaurants. Also, there's a laundry room on the main level so your group will always have clean, warm clothes and the main bedroom with a lovely antique armoire. For added convenience, there are also three bathrooms - one with a tub and the other two with walk-in showers.

Upstairs, knotty pine paneling gives the space a cozy cabin feel. There are two sleeping alcoves, and one even has its own TV and VCR. A cute little upper-level deck is just the space to enjoy a quiet conversation over a glass of wine.

At the end of the day, when you're all back at the house, talk about the day's adventures at the backyard picnic table or roast marshmallows in the firepit.

For your next Rockaway Beach getaway, your group will enjoy relaxing at this charming vacation cottage near the beach.

From here, it's only a short walk across the street to the beach access trail, and then you can enjoy the views of the famous Twin Rocks, walk along the shore, or build sand castles. Of course, Rockaway Beach is a great location for planning day trips throughout the Northern Oregon Coast. A short 14-mile drive will take you to Tillamook for an afternoon of cheese tasting at the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Only 13 miles north is Manzanita, a beautiful ocean-side city with seven miles of sandy, pristine beach. And when you want to stay close to the house, you're only a 15-minute walk from the main drag's restaurants, antique shops, and ice cream parlors.

Just a short walk to the beach. Secluded spot, close to town. Beautiful beach, not too many people!
Jaime H. Jun 2022
Had a great time with six of my girlfriends! Love that there's three bathrooms, but a bigger supply of toilet paper would have been nice, we nearly ran out. Nice big kitchen, could use more cereal bowls, but otherwise a well stocked kitchen with a handful of spices in the cupboard. Dining room table is great for games! The couches in the living room weren't as advertised; they must have recently replaced them. So there was no 2nd futon or pullout bed, but I slept on the couch OK. Beach access is not far, there's a couple trails the take you right to the beach in about 5 minute. Overall, we have a wonderful long weekend!
Manager response:
We appreciate you choosing to stay with us, Jaime. The homeowner did recently change the furnishings, so this information will be updated. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay. The house has lots of character and there was plenty of room for the seven of us and the dog. There were a few little issues with ants and heat, but nothing overwhelming. We loved how close it was to the beach and the house was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and fun few days away!
Andrew D. Jan 2022
We had a great time. Charming. Cozy. Fun.
Amanda F. Nov 2021
Well, it flooded which is mother nature's fault so we waded through 4 in. Of water to get inside the house. Odviously we could not use the fire pit that we brought wood for. I called Vacasa and was told I would receive a call back from a manager in regards to finding a location that was not flooded. I never received a call back.

The kitchen dinningroom combo is a great space to hang out, It stays warm because it has doors on both sides and an oven.

They provide you with 6 portable heaters a fake fireplace and a furnace to keep warm. 2 of the portable heaters did not work. The fireplace did not turn on and the furnace could not keep up. I was so cold.

The downstairs bedroom was damp. The blankets the pillows, everything was damp. I had to get into a wet sticky bed two nights in a row.

Upstairs beds have sunflowers all over under the covers. That means the bedding was not cleaned or those sneaky squirrels that run the house bring them in, hide them under the covers and make the bed again.
Manager response:
Hi, Amanda! The homeowner is replacing the heaters, and housekeeping issues have been addressed. We apologize for the disappointments and hope to have a chance to impress you in the future.
david l. Aug 2021
While it’s close to beach, cozy, and our second time staying there - there are squirrels inside the house. They run back and forth over the living room/dining room ceiling (between the ceiling and the subfloor of the second story) all day long. You can see them entering from the exterior of the back corner of the house (side of the house to the 101/train tracks).
There is also an ant problem. They were constantly all over the kitchen counter, and inside the cabinets. Had to throw away 2 boxes of brand new cereal as overnight they already had ants in the bags.
“Master” bedroom bed is only a full and not really big enough for 2 adults to comfortably sleep in. I slept on the couch all week.
Otherwise since this was our second time staying here, we didn’t have any other issues and still enjoyed the place.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, David. We are glad you enjoyed your stay despite some inconveniences. The home has been sprayed for ants. We hope to see you again!
Jennifer M. Jul 2021
The house was perfect. In a perfect location. Everything was comfortable. It felt like a home which was great for our family. Would recommend.
Elaine d. Apr 2021
Overall, the four of us had a really nice stay. And, while there seem to be beds in every conceivable location, I would say the house is really most comfortable for 4-6 adults. (Though two of the beds to accommodate 2 of those people, are in “rooms” that have no doors. The upstairs bathroom has a very interesting, and somewhat challenging, lay out. The two downstairs bathrooms are much more accessible and have terrific showers.

One disappointment was to use the washing machine and have my clothes come out covered with sand. Then, when I went to put them in the dryer, found it was full of wet towels and wash clothes.......which explains we we had no wash clothes to use while we were there. Not a super big deal, but an unexpected inconvenience, never-the-less.

Beach access was great, and the beach is also terrific. Plus there are lots of games and puzzles for rainy days.

Would I stay here again? Yes, if there were just 4 of us, again.
Ryan B. Mar 2021
When we arrived, every window was covered in large black flies. Hundreds of them. My wife and I then spend the next 3 hours killing flies. We killed over 50 in the first few hours and another 50 over the next couple of days. We contact Vacasa. We send them pictures. Vacasa called the property manager who then called me and asked ME! what I wanted him to do about it. The property manager said he could come over with a fly swatter. Then Vacasa refused to offer us a new rental. So we were stuck in this fly infested rental for the next three days because we were too far from home to just turn around. In addition, the house was only semi-clean. The dishwasher was full of dishes. The outside needs gravel because its a total muddy mess and impossible to keep clean. Other than the flies and mud, the house was just okay. Easy walk to the beach which was nice. However, I'll never stay here again and I'll think twice before I rent with Vacasa due to their inadequate response.
Manager response:
Hi, Ryan! This home has had a thorough cleaning, and there have been no further issues with flies. We do apologize this was your experience and hope to be able to impress you in the future.
Sean M. Feb 2021
This place had a three big, clean bathrooms with plenty of towels, comfortable beds and plenty of area to sit and eat or just relax. There is only one completely private bedroom, but if guests don't mind some semi-shared space, it's not a problem. We had two married couples and three singles and did fine. Well stocked kitchen and having a W/D is very convenient. Lots of character in this beach cabin with its wood-paneled ceilings and all sorts of tucked away spaces. We wished we were staying longer! If you are there during the winter/spring season, be prepared for a muddy, wet parking area. Not a big deal because the floors are wood and we took our shoes off when inside, but gravel would make a nice difference.
Bruce P. Nov 2020
This house has a funky style of liveability and a generous offering of amenities for a large family or group. Lots to enjoy in the home, and the beach access is just minutes away.
Adelina G. Aug 2020
Our family enjoyed our stay! We had two families which included 4 adults and 4 children. The space was spacious for our stay. We loved how close we were to the famous Twin Rock Beach access. Being able to cook meals in a huge kitchen which had everything we needed was amazing! We loved that the adults could sit at one table and the kids could sit at the other very large table for meals! This was a perfect home and we would definitely highly recommend this home to family and friends! Thank you for sharing your home with us!
Heather H. Jul 2020
Easy walk to the beach and view of twin rocks
Donna L H. Jun 2020
Made some great memories! Upstairs was fun, but the sugar ants were a little out if control & into everything, including our clothes & bedding! They are small, and harmless, but kinda bothered the kids! Loved the big kitchen & 2 dining areas! Path to the beach was beautiful! Nice to have three bathrooms, but would recommend blinds on the one right next to the parking area. Cozy & quaint!
Manager response:
Hello, Donna! Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear you made some great memories during your stay! We apologize for the pest issue you faced during your stay. We have worked with our local staff to eliminate this issue moving forward. We hope to host you again in the future!
Connie M. Jun 2019
Inside the house's nice, but outside yard
Is long grass.
Scott N. Sep 2018
Charming home. Love the location. Perfect for a family.
Shawna H. Jan 2018
This little hidden treasure is a beautiful hideaway just outside of Rockaway Beach block and a half from the ocean. It was super quaint and very cozy and accommodated all of our family and friends!
Joretta S. Sep 2017
Beach Charm was a quirky and fun place to stay, kinda felt like staying in a boat! There was plenty of room for everyone, the house had lots of books, movies and games to play and the kitchen was well equipped! Only a short walk to the beach passing through a tunnel cut out of bushes and trees, kinda magical! Everything else was close by as well.

Floyd F. Sep 2017
As advertised, this is a charming home with a short walk to the beach. ... BUT, based on our experience; I would be hesitant to rent homes from VACASA and suggest you look elsewhere. In my opinion; VACASA fees to the customer are excessive and do not necessarily mean a great experience. I don't know the fees charged to home owners; but I suspect the home owner's budget is squeezed so much that is hard for them to provide good housecleaning help and to keep homes maintained.
Heather W. Jul 2017
My family had a blast staying here! It was a nice, cozy beach cottage ! We were hoping to use the small fire pit outside to do s'mores but with the overgrowth of shrubs, we were afraid of starting a brush fire! But, the beach is SO close , we had a bonfire on the beach! Watching the sunrise and set everyday was amazing!!! The bedroom upstairs is great, just watch your head, the ceiling aren't made for tall folks! The fan in the bathroom near the stairs wasn't working , so black mold was growing on the ceiling since the steam had no where to go! But my family had a memorable time there! We would like to do this every year and we would definitely stay here again!
Angela J. Jul 2017
This house is so cute and comfortable. Very much like home. We loved the floor plan. Lots of room upstairs for kids to have their own space. Plus the door between the kitchen and living space provided a quiet place for early-risers to gather and let others sleep-in without interruption. And it's only a block from the beach.
Amelia Kenneth W. Jul 2017
Good place, block from nice beach. Not much to eat nearby. Just an old ocean town. Watch out for cops, they were doing stings in town at crosswalks. house needs some updates but was good.
Amber P. Apr 2017
If you are looking for a place to getaway with the family that feels like home, this is a great property! My children loved staying there so much that they were sad to go and still a day later want to go back! It had everything we needed and literally was home away from home for us! We will be booking this property again!
Peter M. Dec 2016
I am retired construction worker and I have always been interested with the look of wood on walls, floors and the intricate cuts upstairs were very interesting to me. Plus the cabin feel also I was very impressed with the pictures and general home layout. Plenty of sleeping space also.
Michael O. Sep 2016
Had a great time staying at Rockaway beach. Very good proximity for fishing. Tons of room in the house and had a great time cooking dinner and relaxing. The cable was a big bonus and I think it would be a good spot for larger groups of people. Thanks
Patty C. Sep 2016
Our big family totally enjoyed our stay in this fun little house, that was right next to the beach!!!

Denise R. Aug 2016
Plenty of beds - kitchen is well stocked - really cute little cabin in a quite neighborhood - added bonus is handicap beach access down the road - we will stay here again
David L. Aug 2016
Doesn't look like much in the outside, but the inside is very nice. Upstairs is good for kids beds (very low ceiling with lots of angles - WATCH YOUR HEAD IF YOURE OVER 5'4").
Master bed is only a full...I slept on the futon after the first night. Not enough room for both of us.
Well stocked house, very neat and clean. Close to the beach. And it was nice and quiet, since it's off the road. The train does go RIGHT by the back of the house, but it's only a few times in the daylight hours. We weren't home too many times to even hear it.

There's no driftwood at this beach. Be warned - if you like a nice fire on the beach - you're gonna have to buy it in town. Which sucks since the beach 1/2 mile south is covered in firewood. That was the only drawback to staying here. We usually have a big fire every night, and only had 2 small ones since firewood isn't free.
Washer and dryer are pretty old (and small). Dryer needs to be run twice to get anything actually dry.
The kitchen table is big enough for 8! And there's still a dining room table that seats 6!
Michael A. Aug 2016
Great spot for a large family to get away and relax. Large informal dining table and another for games.

Fire on the beach when it's calm, fire in the outside fireplace when the wind is strong. Outside shower to rinse off sand.

Perfect for us. Thanks.
Anne S. Aug 2016
Great quirky space. Would be great for two families, was a squeeze with three. Upstairs is like belowdecks on a boat - low ceilings, small windows, sleeping alcoves, group bedroom, wacky bathroom - great fun especially for able bodied kids (very steep stairs). All 12 (plus two dogs) of us fit around the kitchen table! No one big communal space, but several smaller ones- good for multiple activities going on at once. Kitchen, though small, was functional with a central isthmus. Outdoor picnic table next to BBQ and fire pit, little lawn area. Great little roof deck with view of steam train chugging by. 101 road noise was imperceptible over the constant dull roar of the ocean. House now has crab crackers! Not recommended for people with walking challenges- many minor grade changes throughout the house.
Roberto G. Jul 2016
It was good is a nice placen
Nick C. Jul 2016
We had a great time with a 4 couples and 3 babes under the age of 2 without any problems.
Elissa A. Jul 2016
Fun little old house that's been added on a lot! Great woodwork through out. Some original others added. 3 bathrooms, large well stocked kitchen with great table for after dinner kids board games and a door to drown out the noise in other areas of house. A small dining area off the living room is great for puzzles. and a Plethora of videos and video games. Located on a dead end. you can view the historical train as it comes by daily. The kids loved it. Walk to beach is easy on the wooded path.
Angela M. Jun 2016
The house is so cute, Loved the kitchen!! Had a great time!
Laurence S. Jun 2016
Lovely place that felt like a beach house. We hope to return.
Maggie C. Apr 2016
A quite place with the beach just a short walk through quant little path. A great place to get away from everything.
Marta R. Mar 2016
Very charming, welcoming feeling.
Melissa K. Feb 2016
We rented this house for 2 nights (Friday & Saturday nights), and were lucky to have the late checkout option, which allowed us to stay until 7pm Sunday evening. I love the location, it is just a block from the beach access, which is a trail leading to a very private expanse of beach in front of Twin Rocks. The house was cozy, but the many separate spaces allowed for some privacy. We enjoyed meals at the big kitchen table and benches, and had fun playing board games at the big table in the dining room. There are tons of board games in the game cabinet, and even an X-box with many many games. The Wi-Fi is excellent, and there's even a bit of cellular reception here (in case you can't deal with being disconnected). There are two actual bedrooms, one being a normal size with a full bed; the other upstairs has very low ceilings...reminiscent of Gandalf visiting Frodo in the shire....but it has 2 full beds AND a queen futon in it--works out great for parents with small children. The other two sleeping nooks are spacious, with a chair and even a TV/dvd in one...but not private, so great for older kids. We were three couples, and one 4 year old. Plenty of bathrooms for everyone, but the third couple had to share a sleeping nook with twin bed (they are young and used to it). It's an older house with it's quirks, but very comfortable and ideally located for beach activities. We had a great time.
Mindi P. Jan 2016
This house was perfect for a family our family.
It is a small house but the layout helps everyone have some space if needed.
I would say the upstairs would not be a space that everyone would enjoy as it has short ceilings. However, the property was very clean and a nice close location to the beach. We are looking forward to coming back.
Kim M. Dec 2015
The kitchen has good prep spaces and it's a great place to cook together but bring anything you might need if you're particular, including your own scrubber and trash bags. Upstairs is awesome for lots of kids but the ceiling is too low for even short adults. The location makes this a sweet place and if you're not out for luxury and just a couple with lots of kids, it's great.
Justin L. Sep 2015
House is cozy and perfect for a weekend at the coast. Great location, lots of bathrooms, and fun games for the kids. We loved it!
Anjali G. Jul 2015
This was a wonderful little house. It is well stocked with vhs movies, has two vhs players upstairs, and dvd downstairs. The kids had a great time collecting shells and laying them out on the picnic table to sort and trade. There is a small barbecue grill on which we grilled salmon. The pots were adequately large, and there plenty of dishes. The access to the beach is a block away. The woodworking is beautiful and cozy.
Some items to bring: a flashlight (to get back through the path from the beach at night), dishwasher detergent (which was missing), spare lightbulbs (quite a few lights burnt out).
David G. Jul 2015
This is a super charming house that is a mix of vintage design and more modern remodeling. Set well back from the road, there is nice sense of privacy though if there were partyers in any of the adjoining properties it could be a problem. (They were all vacant during our stay.) Literally a 2 minute walk to a really nice beach that was nearly deserted the whole time we were there. A couple of small gripes: There are some kitchen items that were missing or broken, namely a bottle opener (none in the drawers, the one of the wall is unusable) and a corkscrew (broken). Also, the futon couch immediately slouched to the floor no matter how much we pulled it back on the frame, which made it nearly useless for seating. That said, this place is a superb value in a great setting that's close to most of the best spots in this area of the North Coast. We had a blast!
Manager response:
Thanks so much for review. Your suggestions have been forwarded to the local property manager, and we will work to have these concerns addressed quickly. It sounds like you had a great time, and we're delighted to hear that you enjoyed this beautiful home and its proximity to the beach. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Preetha J. May 2015
We stayed a week. Mostly home cooked meals. The kitchen has all the basic. Although you may need to get a good can opener. I do agree that the upstairs bathroom is a bit awkward with the toilet right in the middle. The upstairs ceilings are low and everyone needs to watch their head. We were 5 adults and 2 kids. It is comfortable for the size of the group.
Lauren S. Apr 2015
A group of friends and I stayed at Beach Charm and it was perfect. The house is incredibly cute. The kitchen is the perfect size and there is plenty of room for everybody to eat together. The beach is eighth across the street and it is the most beautiful beach. You have it all to yourself basically! The twin rocks are right there on that beach. The town is cute and quaint, but right in between Cannon Beach and Tillamook so you can explore those towns easily! I would highly recommend Beach Charm to anybody hoping to stay on the Oregon Coast!
Manager response:
We are so pleased to hear that you and your group of friends had a great time at the Beach Charm! This is such a great location with it being a block from Highway 101 and having the beach, with the Twin Rocks, right across the street. There is definitely no shortage of things to do with popular coastal towns in either direction from this house, or stay close and enjoy the town of Rockaway, with plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Thank you for taking the time to send us your amazing review, we hope to have you as guests again soon!
Chrystabel L. Mar 2015
The house was perfect for a weekend and the location was perfect. Twin Rocks was gorgeous and we got to watch the sunset and have a bonfire on the beach. The community around there was nice and it was safe. It's good for anyone who enjoys the beach.
Amy C. Aug 2014
We stayed at Beach Charm for 2 nights in August 2014 following the Hood to Coast Relay. It was the perfect place to relax, rest and enjoy good times with friends. The house is ideal for a large group, with 3 full bathrooms, 2 large dinning room tables, and an upstairs loft full of nooks with beds. We enjoyed time outside on the upstairs balcony and outside on the picnic table next to the fire pit. It was nice to have a washer/dryer to wash clothes as well. For those wanting to be on the grid, some of our cell phones did not have service inside the house but the wifi was fast! Only complaint is that the kitchen was not stocked with basics like salt and cooking oil, but we hope to have resolved that by leaving our own leftover supplies! We will be back for another stay and highly recommend it for families or large groups.
Stephen T. Aug 2014
Nestled among many other charming homes, this beach house lives up to its name. Wood trim and paneling highlight Its fishing and nautical themes and give the impression of being tied to the sea. Although it seems to have been built many years ago, it has some nice updates and feels comfortable. We liked hearing the ocean through open windows and feeling the breeze blowing through the house. When we were there it needed some minor maintenance and had an odd assortment of cookware, but we were able to find mostly what we needed. (Next time we would bring a good can opener.) The beach is a short walk down some lovely paths, and many other scenic locations are not far to drive. We would probably come again if we were to visit this area again. Note for tall people: there are some low doorways and ceilings that can give you some bumps to the head if you're not careful, especially upstairs. In fact, there are some spaces upstairs that are better suited to children than adults, and the beds are small and not extremely comfortable. Also, the upstairs bathroom is oddly arranged. Otherwise, there are some nice sitting areas and there is a lot of space for dining and setting up computer workspace. We found it quite adequate for our family of 6.
Nicole E. Aug 2014
This is a wonderful house. It is set back from the road and there are three bathrooms. There is lots of space to spread out and enjoy the house. There are three beach access trails within a block or so of the house. If you are looking for a longer walk, Rockaway Beach has quite a few cute shops. We would definitely stay here again.
Manager response:
Thank you for the thoughtful review. We are happy you enjoyed your stay and the home. We look forward to you visiting us again.
Emily S. Jan 2014
This was a perfect place to stay for a large group. The kitchen table is huge (and there are two of them) so you can all enjoy meals together! When you first arrive the place is a little hidden behind another house so you night drive by a couple times. It's nice and private and close to the beach!
Betty Jean C. Dec 2013
My two grown sons and I had a great stay at Beach Charm over Christmas. It would be especially good for a big group. It truly is a charming house.
Manager response:
We are glad that you had an enjoyable time with your family. Thanks for sharing your review with us!
