Welcome to Casa Amorosa, which means House of Love when translated to English. This beautiful 2-floor house, professionally managed by Vacasa, is conveniently located at the entrance of Palm Beach Estates neighborhood which is approximately 1 mile (1.6km) south of the town of Playa Grande. Casa Amoroa sits on over .5 of an acer (.2 hectares) of fenced garden that boast a park like setting. In addition to being 5 min walk to the beach the house is located very close to one of the largest estuary's in Costa Rica. Nature lovers, adventure seekers and surfers will equally appreciate the unique location. The home is in a very desirable and quiet gated community called Palm Beach Estates which provides security services for the residents during hours of darkness. Casa Amorosa is the closest house to the security gate.

The House is able to sleep up to 8 people in three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Each bedroom has it's own AC unit AND fan(s). The master bedroom with King bed occupies the entire second floor. The luxurious master bathroom feels large, open and spacious. In addition, the master bedroom has a large covered outdoor terrace (with fans) for spending time enjoying nature and passing time. The second bedroom is located downstairs in the main house. This bedroom has 2 full beds and its own private bathroom. The second bedroom has a sliding glass door leading to its own covered terrace (with fans) and easy access to the pool. The third bedroom is in the Casita, also known as the pool house. Located next to the pool, detached from the main house, the Casita has a king bed and its own full bathroom. The Casita has a nice terrace (with fans) next to the pool and is a wonderful place to listen to the birds sing and relax while the outdoor fans cool you down. Please note that the Casita is detached from the main house and is approximately a 50ft (15m) walk.

The kitchen at Casa Amorosa is fully equipped for your culinary adventures. Connected with the main living area of the house and boasting high ceilings throughout for maximum comfort, the open kitchen will allow guests to spend memorable nights sharing meaning full conversations while preparing a gourmet dinner and eating on the terrace outside. The terrace in an extension of the house and much time is spent our there eating meals and passing the day relaxing. Please note there is not an AC in the living room kitchen area. The house was designed to have air flow from the front door to the back to cool the main area. There are also several fans to promote airflow. Guests will enjoy the pool at Casa Amorosa which is set amongst nature. There is also an outside shower with hot water next to the pool for guest to enjoy. The BBQ is located on the terrace of the Casita as well.

Casa Amorosa is equipped with high-speed Wifi which is advertised at 200mb download speed. There are also two Wi-Fi boosters placed on the property to ensure the best signal reception possible. There is a 49" flat screen TV for guest that can be used for streaming internet content if desired but no cable is provided. There are no telephones on the property. Guests can use services, such as Facetime, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Skype or Google Talk, for international calls.

Housekeeping services during your stay can be arranged through Vacasa directly. The pool is maintained regularly and a gardener keeps the yard in the best possible condition.

Casa Amorosa is a very comfortable and well-equipped home where guests can enjoy quality time with friends and family. The location provides peace and privacy and an opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of Costa Rica. We are the first house to get the nice cooling breeze from the estuary.

The Area:

Palm Beach Estates is surrounded by the Marino Las Baulas National Park and this has prevented development in the area such that beach and nearby vegetation are in a completely natural state. Casa Amorosa is 40 miles from Liberia International Airport, (airport code LIR) and can be easily reached by rental car, shuttle van or taxi. The neighborhood is home to four great restaurants (Mar Azul, Bula Bula, La Cantarana and Seven Bar & Grill), and a small market, all within a few minutes' walk from the house. Playa Grande also offers several other restaurants about a mile north of Palm Beach Estates. Please note, some business close for the low season. For grocery shopping, there are several large grocery stores 20 min from the house that can be accessed by rental car or taxi.

The popular tourist destination of Tamarindo, which has many hotels, restaurants, shops and amenities, is a 1.5 mile walk down the beach from Casa Amorosa. There is an estuary which separates busy Tamarindo from peaceful Playa Grande and there are water taxis in the estuary available to transport people to and from Tamarindo during daylight hours at a cost of a dollar per person. Water taxis to Tamarindo can also be arranged through Bula Bula which will require far less walking but cost more per person (aprox $3). The water taxi drivers are also available to take visitors on tours of the estuary where many varieties of tropical wildlife can be observed in their natural habitat.

Playa Grande is a world-class surfing destination and there is surfing 5 min walk from the house at mile marker #25. The main break is in the town of Playa Grande about 1 mile from the house to the north and there is another break at the south end of Playa Grande called Casitas. There are opportunities for surfing lessons within Palm Beach Estates at Playa Grande Surf Camp and Acachete Surf, both within a few minutes' walk. There are opportunities for beginners and advanced surfers at Playa Grande. Casa Amorosa has provided guest use of beach chairs and beach towels.

Playa Grande is also a major nesting area for the leatherback turtle ("baula" in Spanish) which grow to 7 feet in length and can weigh up to 1650 pounds. Marino Las Baulas National Park protects and preserves a large variety of tropical wildlife and vegetation along many miles of beach and the large inland estuary. The leatherback turtle egg-laying season is between October 1 and March 1 and during that period the national park service, which is locally headquartered near the Las Tortugas Hotel, conducts nightly tours allowing people to see these endangered 100-million-year-old creatures lay 100 or more eggs on the beach. This is a truly unforgettable experience!

In addition to surfing and turtle adventures, there are many other activities to do if desired. There are several operators in Palm Beach Estates that can arrange for adventure activities like nature walks, zip lining, ATV, house back riding, fishing, etc.
