Perched a short walk away from the sparkling Caribbean Sea, this home is in the friendly and relaxed Placencia Village. When you're here, you will be just a few steps from the beach and a short walk from the restaurants, shops, and other businesses in this charming town.
With a total of five bedrooms and four bathrooms, this home can accommodate as many as 14 guests. This particular listing is for the entirety of this two-level home, though the house is split into three separate, self-contained units. This arrangement would be fantastic for a few small families traveling together, several couples, a group of friends, or an extended family.
Each of the three sections of this home has its own private entrance, living area, full kitchen, and sleeping areas and can be rented separately or all together, depending on your needs. The upper-floor three-bedroom, two-bathroom Mirasol Mini-Villa has the most space. Downstairs there are two near-identical lower floor units, the Mirasol Condo North and Mirasol Condo South, both of which have one bedroom and one bathroom.
Walk into one of the downstairs units and you will find a bright and airy space with all the comforts of home. Step to the back of the house to find a spacious living room with some seating arranged around a TV. This is a great place to sit and watch some cable TV, use the provided WiFi to look up activities, or open up the back door and let in the gentle Caribbean breeze. This area also has a dining room table with space for four, as well as a full kitchen. The kitchen, complete with beautiful wood cabinets and exotic dark tiles, is the perfect place to whip up some tasty home-cooked meals. With all the modern appliances you might find in your own home, including a dishwasher, full-size fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker, you can easily cook up some fresh seafood with a refreshing tropical fruit salad.
Each of these lower units also has a full bathroom with a tiled shower where you can rinse off the sunscreen and salt water after a day spent lounging on the beach and playing in the sea. There is also a bedroom with a king-size bed, and the futon in the living room folds out for additional sleeping space. These downstairs units have a charming porch area where you will love to sit, relax, and breathe in the fresh, tropical air. You could sit in the shade and read a book or step off the porch and in a short walk, onto the soft sand of the lovely beach. You won't get much closer to the sandy shore than this!
Walk upstairs to the top floor of this villa to find the largest section of this home, which has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The living area has vaulted ceilings that not only make the room feel extra spacious but also keep it a little cooler inside. Throughout all the units of this home, you will also enjoy partial air conditioning to keep everyone comfortable at night when the gentle breezes aren't enough to cool down the home.
This upper floor section of the house has a large living room with seating and a flatscreen TV. Lovely French doors open up to a gorgeous balcony, which has more seating and even a charming hammock where you can enjoy an afternoon siesta. Back inside, you will find another dining area and a full kitchen, also complete with all the appliances and cooking tools the chef in your group may need to prepare culinary delights. There is a full bathroom with a tiled tub/shower. The first bedroom has two twin-size beds, and the second has a queen bed. In the master bedroom is a luxuriously large king-size bed as well as an attached bathroom with another brightly tiled shower.
All in all, with these two downstairs units and upstairs home, this villa can accommodate a total of 14 guests. Children will be comfortable on the fold-out futons or can bring their own sleeping bags for fun sleepover-style arrangements.
This home also offers a laundry room so you will have no trouble freshening up your sandy clothes. Best of all, there is a lovely pool just for you! This pool, reserved for Mirasol guests, is refreshing and inviting, and also has a charming patio area with seating, a covered table, and a charcoal grill that you're welcome to use. With the pool, a beautiful home, and the beach just a few steps from your doorstep, you may be content to spend your entire vacation relaxing right here! Soak in the rejuvenating sunshine, enjoy splashing around the waters of the ocean, and wriggle your toes in the perfectly soft sand.
If you decide to check out the nearby Placencia Village, simply walk into town to find a surprising variety of restaurants, as well as shops, cafes, and plenty of other businesses. You could rent some bicycles, kayaks, snorkeling gear, or other equipment to make your stay even more fun!
This part of the country is famous for its diving opportunities, whether you prefer snorkeling or scuba diving. Belize is home to the world's second-largest barrier reef and hosts an extremely diverse range of sea life. There are also dozens of offshore islands called cayes that are waiting to be explored. From Placencia Village you can hop on a boat to take you to these islands, though you could also enjoy a fishing trip or excursion to see the manatees that live in the lagoon or the rare whale sharks that briefly visit this region. From town, you can even book tours that roam farther into Belize. Go ahead and take guided hikes around the jungle, rafting trips down nearby rivers, or spelunking tours around some nearby caves. You may want to check out some Mayan ruins, such as Xunantunich or Caracol, both of which are near Belize's border with Guatemala. Another must-see attraction is the fantastic Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Preserve, where you can see all sorts of animals ranging from armadillos to howler monkeys to almost 300 species of birds.
