We rented this home for our sons wedding in Hood River. When we drove down the long gravel road of pear trees we were absolutely stunned by the sweeping views of mountains, pear orchard, and sounds from the river below. This was a great home to spend with our large extended family that had a fantastic balcony with tables and chairs to share dinners outside with an amazing view. The house had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, a game room for the kids and hot tub outside to relax after long day! The kitchen had all the necessities to prepare dinners for family gatherings. The two laundry rooms came in handy after a short walk to Hood River where we cooled off sitting on the rocks. I highly recommend this home! Vacasa was fantastic with their emails and texts to keep us updated on our vacation rental.

Well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable and lovely double Mountain View’s (Hood and Adams). Highly recommend for large groups with great entertainment for the kids.
Rick W. Jul 2022
Vacasa was responsive when we found no propane for grill and had trouble with AC keeping up with 100 degree temps.
Michael B. Jun 2022
You cannot beat a house such as this in a pear orchard. The perfect views of Mt Hood from one side and Mt Adams (I think) from the other are something we will never forget.
The house is great for a big group especially with the downstairs rec/tv area.

The only things I'd callout as less than ideal is the extremely old pots/pans (most bottoms are flaked off and may come off when using) and the very high toilet bowl water levels. I know this last one will be an unusual critique but our male guests were unpleasantly surprised by how high it was....something which is not a regular experience for them LOL

Overall, we'd stay here again in a heartbeat. It's a short, 12 minute drive to downtown and about the same distance to fruit loop farms.

As a heads up, google directions will get confused once you hit the gravel road. The signs with the house numbers are clear/visible so it was easy enough to find.

We loved the home and location! Enough space for extended family attending a wedding locally. Such a treat to be in the middle of a working orchard with amazing viewsz
Scott W. Jan 2022
Big house with lots of room. Showed up to a ton of snow but they had it plowed for us. Would definitely come back
Jennifer K. Dec 2021
Such a lovely place! Plenty of room for all of us. Loved the snow fall. We ran out of paper towels and dishwasher soap but other than that it was perfection.
Christine F. Sep 2021
This house is gorgeous. It has all the amenities of home with added luxury. Every room is modern in decor but very practical. It is in a very private location with amazing views. The house is so large that you feel intimate but at the same time have large spaces to gather. This house is simply amazing!!!
Brenda M. Aug 2021
We had several of us attending the wedding and we prepared cupcakes for the wedding. We had a great time! Our first experience at this location, it was perfect!
Taylor B. Jun 2021
Great stay! Super beautiful.
Rob F. May 2021
Great house, with lots of room for not only guests but also for spreading out. Stunning view of the pear orchards, valley and Mt Adams.
Caralee T. Sep 2020
We have a group of up to 13 people who have stayed here for several years now. We love the beautiful home, the beautiful views, the fact that there are more than enough beds, dishes, and separate gathering places. We also love the peace and quiet of being in the middle of a pear orchard. Highly recommend.
Rebecca V. Aug 2020
This house was fantastic. Our family had a great time here. Highly recommend it. Incredible
Views and plenty of room for all ages.
SCOTT F. Jul 2020
We loved our stay at the River Song Country Chateau! Absolutely beautiful property with stunning views. Hope to stay there again soon!
Joshua C. Jun 2020
Stayed here for just a couple of days for a small family gathering and it was better than we expected. A few bumps and bruises from being a VRBO but nothing out of the ordinary.
Paula G. Oct 2019
This house was perfect for our annual staff retreat. It's a large house with beautiful views and it's a quick drive to Hood River. Two of the twin beds in the description were actually pull out beds and aren't comfortable for adults, keep that in mind if they won't be used by children. We only had to use one of them and used the mattresses from both pullouts to make one bed more comfortable.
Daniel K. Oct 2019
Perfect for our five couples family.
Hilarie A. Sep 2019
Great location and views.
Shelly R. Aug 2019
The house is beautiful, with amazing mountain and orchard views. We had a girls weekend with 11 women & there were beds for everyone and tons of space. We sat on the deck for hours, enjoying the view. I can’t think of one negative thing to say about this house - I just wish we could have stayed for a week!
JOHN R. Jul 2019
We loved this place. It is huge, spacious, clean and a perfect place to get together for a few relaxing days with friends and family
Philip F. Jun 2019
We stayed here this past weekend to celebrate with a few couples. It was an amazing home with tons of room for us to relax and have a great time. The virtual tour gave us a prefect idea of what to expect. There is ample space to socialize inside both in the great room/kitchen, as well as downstairs in the bonus room and game room. We had amazing weather and spent time on the deck and in the backyard as well.

It was well stocked with plenty of towels, sheets and toiletries. The kitchen was well-stocked with supplies and cooking utensils.

The house is no more than 10 mins from downtown Hood River, but set away in a beautiful orchard. We will definitely be back again.
ramzy h. May 2019
The home was perfect for our management group retreat. Amazing views and the home was beautiful and spacious.
Mark M. May 2019
The house was gorgeous. We used it as an office retreat and it slept 20 people great. It was clean, organized, and all of the little details before we got there were top notch. The hot tub was a nice touch to use at night and the morning. And the views were out of this world, so beautiful. Thank you Vacasa for a wonderful stay!
Melissa B. Apr 2019
This is an absolutely gorgeous home that can comfortably accommodate large groups. It worked well for our women's retreat, and it would be great for a multi-family or extended-family vacation. This home looks just as nice in person as it does in photographs, so you don't need to worry about unpleasant surprises. Very clean and comfy, and with lots of room to spread out throughout the three floors. There are also two laundry rooms, which would be helpful if you were traveling with multiple families.

Notes on pull-out couches, as we couldn't tell what was what until we arrived:
-The sofa you see in a photo of an upstairs bedroom (beige room, multiple beds) is NOT a pull-out couch.
- Both the small sofa and the large ottoman in the office pull-out to twin-sized beds, though the mattress pads are very thin. You could not fit both twins in the office, but you could move the ottoman to the master bedroom before opening it up.
-At least one of the couches in the main living room are pull-out couches, maybe both. Personally, I wouldn't want anyone in my party to be stuck sleeping there because it's very exposed. With a house full of people, anyone stuck sleeping in the living room would have to go to bed later and wake up earlier than everyone else.
Jill M. Feb 2019
Fantastic house for a large group with plenty of space for all. We enjoyed playing in the snow around the house. Hot tub was already hot when we arrived, which was a plus!
Shawn F. Jan 2019
Awesome spot! Tons of privacy and enough space in the house for a large group to spread out and do their own thing or have a big gathering in the kitchen for food and drinks. This house felt endless with it's multitude of rooms and bathrooms, and never felt crowded at all. The hot tub was a hit with the guests as were the multiple fire places for friends to lounge around in front of. A short drive into town was done a few times to get groceries and drinks, and the rental was super easy to find.
The surrounding hills and orchards were a great vista for the weekend, and we're hoping to be able to check it out again in the summer and use the large lounge deck and visit the river nearby!
Suzi J. Jan 2019
Fabulous accommodations for several families to spend some peace and quiet together. Gorgeous views, comfortable, has everything you need.
Caterina P. Nov 2018
The views are absolutely exquisite! We happened to catch a full rainbow overlooking the pear orchard on Sunday morning. This is such a beautiful home with plenty of room for a large party (we had 17 people). We had a wonderful time for our leadership retreat and we would absolutely come again.
Dr. Russell and Susan D. Sep 2018
We had a wonderful time with our family celebrating our daughters wedding! The house has everything that you need in the kitchen, bedrooms a plenty, lots of common space for hanging out with friends and family plus a hot tub.
(the cover for the hot tub needs some work)
Dennis M. Sep 2018
This is our third year staying in this property and each year the price has gone up and the amenities have gone down. It is now way too expensive. Views and location are wonderful. We walked into a house of flies as doors must of been left open, there are no screen doors or screens on working windows to create ventilation. BBQ wasn't working properly and without any notice we had no TV service as advertised and no resolution during our stay. Not worth the money for sure.
Manager response:
We apologize about the flies - housekeeping left the doors open due to the air conditioning not working for them. We have followed-up with them about the situation. The cable has been removed, and we are working on getting screens in the home. This guest was refunded for their troubles. Thanks!
Alex W. Sep 2018
This is a great place to stay, good views, plentiful interior. We weren't sure how much we'd need to bring, but the house ended up having many of the needed basics. - Would stay again.
Judi M. Aug 2018
We loved staying at River Song! Very spacious, well equipped, home with an AMAZING view. Just perfect for our large family. I’m addition, Jennifer at Vacasa was wonderful to work with. Thank you so much for everything!
Seth P. Aug 2018
We loved this house, and it was the perfect place for our wedding weekend!
William C. Aug 2018
The view was exquisite! We had a wonderful time with family and a great space. The location was fantastic because it was serene. Seeing the night sky was also a highlight.
Patricia C. Jul 2018
LOVED this place! The windows all framed breathtaking views with Mount Adams out the back and Mount Hood out the front. Vacasa was very responsive when there was a shortage of hairdryers and supplied them as soon as humanly possible. Perfect for a family reunion or (in our case) housing for out of town wedding guests. Very private but accessible. Can’t say enough good things.
Austin C. Jun 2018
The view and surrounding property is absolutely beautiful. Great place for a large group.
Rita S. Jun 2018
We had a gathering for my mother's 94th birthday. The house was wonderful for all ages, even though she uses a walker. The wrap around porch with the view was a very favorite place, and we all liked cooking in the big kitchen.
Robert and Kathleen B. May 2018
This was the perfect home for our family gathering for our youngest daughter's wedding over the 2018 Memorial Day Weekend!!! The view as you looked around the property was panoramic!!! Mt. Hood & Mt. Adams could be viewed from the large windows at the front of the home and the back of it. Would highly recommend this home to anyone who wants to have a family reunion/gathering.
Matthew S. Apr 2018
My group enjoyed this house and had a great weekend. The view is great, lots of space to hang out and quiet. Stars! I'd rent it again, but there were some issues.

There are 4 single beds listed in the Vacasa listing. In the home, there are only two adult single beds. We were able to configure sleeping arrangements, but it caused some inconvenience. I noticed this in the pictures before and called vacasa to confirm, but was assured it was correct.

There were no spare sheets or pillow covers to be found anywhere in the home for the fold out bed in the office

The Kitchen amenities were lacking - cutting boards would be a great add. The fridge upstairs has a hole in the inside of it. Some of the items are worn or rusty(skillet and waffle iron), only two dishtowels, no oven mitts.

The hot tub seemed to need a better cleaning, after a few uses it got gross despite following the advisories and general etiquette.

The Heat was hard to control, despite turning down the temp, the upstairs was very hot and basement was very cold

The Space heater in the basement bedroom was not working

The general condition of the house seems to need some touching up
Manager response:
The water in the hot tub has been replaced, spare sheets have been made available, and we have refreshed the kitchen items. The beds are correctly advertised: there are two twin beds upstairs, and there are two pullout twin beds in the office on the main floor. Thanks!
Katlynn S. Mar 2018
Our stay was good, we had a good time. There’s a lot of space for family and friends.
Matthew C. Jan 2018
Great location, beautiful views, very nice large home, perfect for 3 generations getting together to enjoy a vacation near the mountain and town.
Charlotte M. Jan 2018
This is our go-to ski "cabin" for our annual gathering of friends who have known each other for 40 years. It's got a lot of heart and soul to it, with several areas to curl up and visit, and yet spacious enough that you can have privacy when you want it. The location is ideal with town stuff to do in Hood River, and winter activities just up Hwy 35. We are a group of people who love to cook, and the kitchen is conducive to that group activity.
Huiying J. Dec 2017
We are very satisfied and will come back again.
Scott R. Dec 2017
Beautiful house, easy access to Hood River. Great view of Mt. Adams to the North. Worked great for a large work retreat
Corrina D. Nov 2017
We have had a 38 year family tradition for Thanksgiving and this year we decided to meet in the middle before the holiday. This was the perfect location and size home to accommodate all of us. We had such a great time with the family in one area. Even took walks around the orchard. Was a beautiful location. We would book this home again. Thank you
Patricia C. Oct 2017
The double mountain view is absolutely spectacular. This is a large, comfortable home. A wonderful place for a large group gathering. Close to Hood River and its amenities.
Carly S. Sep 2017
This is a great house for a large group of people. Unfortunately, the ovens, one dishwasher, and microwave all need to be repaired or replaced. It was difficult to find linens, pillows, and blankets for the hide a beds.
Wendell W. Sep 2017
Lovely location.
Sarveshwar C. Aug 2017
Can get a better place
Bruce E. Aug 2017
First the good! This property is everything the add describes. Beautiful views and setting. Quiet and serene.

Unfortunately, this property doesn't show pride of ownership. There is a lot of deferred maintenance, needs a deep clean, and some attention to the fine details. It is a very good vacation rental, but not at $2,000 a night. I won't bother with the list of problems, as I have already detailed them to Vacasa. The on site manager did give me his email and phone numbers, but we did not want anyone trying to fix them, whike we were there. I did email him twice, but did not get a response. My wife and I also do vacation rentals of our own, with much older properties, and would never rent out River Chateau in its present condition.
Megan M. Jul 2017
We could not have been happier with this vacation rental. The home is spacious and decorated in a minimalist yet sophisticated style that fosters a peaceful atmosphere. The outdoor surroundings are nothing short of stunning -- endless pear orchards and rolling hills with breathtaking views of Mt. Adams. Because the house was so intelligently designed, the mountain views are available from a majority of rooms in the house. A roughly 12 minute drive to downtown Hood River, this place is perfectly secluded yet conveniently nearby all the restaurants and shops one could desire. We highly recommend this beautiful home to everybody and hope to return again in the future for another stay.
Sohail S. Jul 2017
This was our 2nd vacation and wanted to have bigger home. This suits our needs and we enjoyed a lot. Whatever vacasa committed we get that. I will consider this home for future.
James T. Jul 2017
We enjoyed our stay at the Riversong so much we didn't want to leave! It was beyond our expectations. The pictures don't do it justice. We were wowed with the beauty and sounds surrounding us. The house was amazing. Clean, spacious and staged beautifully. We had everything we needed. We soaked up the views and sunshine in the mornings on the back patio enjoying our coffee. We were greeted by yellow finches, sparrows and Red Robin's. The orchards surrounding us were just beautiful. And the views of Mt. Adams and the cascades behind the house and views of Mt Hood in front of the house were breathtaking. We toasted to beautiful sunsets each evening and enjoyed the soothing sounds of the Hood River below us. And the night sky was amazing filled with a blanket of stars. We saw the Big Dipper and Milky Way. All was stunning! We definitely want to visit here again. It was like heaven on earth!
JK Northern CA . Jul 2017
Enjoy beautiful Mount Hood area with a quiet, centrally located home! Lots of room to relax, enjoy and catch up! Love 2 dishwashers and great kitchen
Marcie M. Jun 2017
We stayed here to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday. The house was perfect for a group of 11, ages 4 through 80.
Tanya W. Jun 2017
Great house with spectacular views. Not too far from town, but feels like one is out in the country. Great for large groups with all the amenities.
Norene S. May 2017
The views from this chateau are spectacular! It was the perfect place for family and friends to meet. Very spacious and roomy and all the amenities of home.
Deborah M. May 2017
This is the second time I have organized a retreat at the Chateau. It is a perfect place for a gathering like this for 8-10 people. The privacy, the well thought out layout of the home is superb and amenities and furnishings quite lovely. A perfect place to come home to self and nature, and to commune with others.
Pepper K. May 2017
We celebrated my 40th birthday at this home with 13 family and friends! The house is equipped with everything you need. Plenty of dishes and cooking items for all your needs, lots of linens and towels for hot tub - an overall stocked home! The views are stunning and very convenient to downtown. 5 stars for making our weekend memorable in this lovely home!
Emily C. May 2017
This is a picturesque location and perfect for our Mindfulness Retreat. It's very spacious with beautiful sweeping views of Mt Adams and Mt Hood, nestled in a gorgeous orchard. Can't wait to come back!
Kate G. Apr 2017
The setting, in the orchards that bloomed while we were there, could not have been more magical. Double rainbows, two mountains, birds diving through the rows of trees, no one wanted to leave. Even though the house was spacious, the views stunning, it was quirky. Appliances malfunctioned while we were there, like one of the dishwashers, one dryer, and the manager couldn't find someone to repair them. The house didn't have kleenex, enough toilet paper, paper towels, or garbage bags. We rented the space because there were so many of us. Don't get me wrong: the location and the space were dreamy, especially in the proximity to Hood River, the Gorge, and Mt. Hood.
Manager response:
We provide a standard 'starting amount' of paper products and toiletries for our guests, and we do advise in our welcome email that guests bring more with them if they have a large group or an extended stay. We did offer to bring out more supplies to the guest, but they declined. The broken appliances have been repaired; we apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused this group. Thank you!
David M. Apr 2017
This is a large very nice house in the middle of a pear orchard. We rented in in the off season, which I think is the only time we could afford it. Peak season prices are spendy. The surrounding area is so beautiful. The views of Mt. Adams are amazing from the windows and deck.
Sylvia P. Mar 2017
Our family from Texas stayed with us here for the week-end. There was plenty of room for all 17 of us. The house is nice and roomy. We were in the master suite on the main floor and I particularly liked the heated floors in the master bath. Meals were great together, between the large table and the great bar chairs it worked our well. Very comfortable beds. It was a great family get together.
Mackenzie G. Feb 2017
This is now the second time I have stayed at this house. once was with a bachelorette party and now with friends and kiddos. This house has met our needs for both scenarios! Great layout, many bedrooms, comfy cozy setting, lots of space for groups.
Jennifer C J. Feb 2017
Far enough out of town for the views of the groves. But close enough drive into down town. Great local variety of food to choose from. Great house for 6 couples to be comfortable. Furnishings could use an update but over all a great location and size of home.
James M. Feb 2017
Wonderful place for our family of 9. Beautiful view with easy access to Meadows for skiing , about 40 minutes. Plenty of room for all us.
Kirk M. Jan 2017
A great place for a weekend stay with friends. With six separate bedrooms, there's plenty of space for a large group. The views are fantastic!
Erik H. Dec 2016
amazing, comin back next year.
Nikki W. Dec 2016
Beautiful property. We enjoyed our time spent with family while staying here.
Terah B. Nov 2016
This house is comfortable for large groups and I would recommend. We gathered 10 adults and 5 children together for a thanksgiving and it was the right size for that amount of people. More would be pretty tight, in my opinion.

Beds and couches are clean and comfortable. Plenty of space inside and out for kids to run around. Food prep was easy in the large kitchen. Warning: pretend you're camping and bring everything you need. Kitchen doesn't have basic things like knives, can opener, garbage bags. There are grocery stores 15 minutes away, so we just went and bought all that.
It was absolutely PERFECT!!! The pictures do not even do it justice! It is stunning, very clean, and met all of our needs for our retreat!!!!
Cindi A. Nov 2016
This was an amazing home! We would normally never be able to afford to stay at a home of this caliber - but Vacasa went above and beyond to take care of us when the well went dry at the Vacasa home where we were booked. On day 3 of our 4 day vacation, we awoke with no running water or toilets first thing in the morning. When Vacasa was notified about our predicament, Candace was able to find us another home to relocate to, and it was this unexpected treasure! You can read about all the amenities without my help, but know that the beds are extraordinarily comfortable and the bedding/linens are of the highest quality. We arrived just in time to enjoy the beautiful view, a gorgeous sunset, and watch the Seahawks beat the New England Patriots on the large tv! All of us slept soundly and enjoyed the gourmet kitchen in the morning for our breakfast. We even got a load of laundry or two done before we left. All in all, our 20 hours in this amazing home was a highlight of a wonderful vacation and won't soon be forgotten. Thanks Vacasa for your outstanding customer service! And thanks for letting us finish off a great Girls' Weekend in such a fine home.
Kathleen B. Nov 2016
Loved the home it was gorgeous
Dennis M. Sep 2016
Great location, close to the river for fishing.
Gilbert B. Sep 2016
My wife's family has never been to Oregon, and this is a such a beautiful place to show them the scenic beauty of the Northwest. We never got tired of seeing Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams. Mt. Adams is truly in your face. So we loved sitting on the porch or seeing the picturesque view from the large windows in every room. Especially from the living room, and kitchen. The kitchen, center island, and open floor plan are perfect for entertaining the whole party. The house is large enough that everyone had their own privacy when they wanted to get away from the group. The master bathroom is quite exquisite. We hope to one day have a shower like that.
Bridie H. Sep 2016
I housed my wedding party, family and friends, at this rental. It was perfect!
Del C. Aug 2016
We had a large group of friends and this rental proved to be a great location with plenty of room, excellent views and amenities, and very clean. Thanks Vacasa
Diana E. Aug 2016
It was more than we expected and would go there again and I have told others about it already.
Ken F. Aug 2016
if looking for a venue to host a family reunion and be able to spread out the guests between the kids downstairs and the adults on the main floor, this is your spot. Nicely decorated and well maintained, this home sleeps 18 comfortably, with a large deck and a gas grill that faces toward Mt. Adams. For the kids, downstairs is a large room with foosball, ping pong table, small kitchen, bathroom, and TV. Make a grocery list and buy from one of the major grocery stores (we liked Rossauers) in town since there are no convenience stores or other services on Hwy 35 from the house to Hood River
Hossein A. Jul 2016
The house is very well maintained and is in great condition. The view is awesome. Both Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood are visible from the house.
Elizabeth E. Jul 2016
We are a group of adult friends who get together annually to vacation. We are a group of 13-15 people who want a nice place to stay in a beautiful/interesting place. River Song Country Chateau fit us beautifully. The house is well suited for large groups including two dishwashers and ovens, an indoor chilled drinking fountain, and even an additional kitchen in the basement. The open concept kitchen, dining room, and family room is a perfect place to hang out together. We ate on the huge deck every evening which had an incredible view of a orchard of pear trees with Mt Adams in the back ground and the sound of the Hood River below. One evening we had an amazing sunset that turned the sky, Mt Hood in the front yard, and Mt Adams in the backyard pink and gold. The property is very private but minutes away the "Fruit Loop" (fresh fruit and wine tasting) and Hood River (Columbia River Gorge/ restaurants/shopping/kite surfing). It reminded several of us of Tuscany! Thank you for a great vacation. We hope to come again.
Gavin H. Jul 2016
Great house with amazing views! Close enough to town to enjoy its amenities but far enough away for the peace and quiet of the country. Manager was very helpful before and during our stay and we hope to come back again!
Amy E. May 2016
This house was big and in a gorgeous setting, which met our group's main criteria. While the main spaces were well-furnished and spacious, the bedrooms were very under-furnished and there seemed to be a lot of little construction projects going on. The deck was also under construction and we weren't able to use it. Despite these small items, we had a wonderful weekend at the house and would consider returning. We just hope the owners continue to develop the beauty of this rental.
Abby L. May 2016
Great rental property, tons of space and gorgeous views!
Alyssa M. Apr 2016
We rented this house for my sisters bachelorette party. We wanted a private location for all of us to relax, hang out and have a good time. This was the perfect house, looked even better than the pictures. The wineries, restaurants and people did not disappoint! 5/5 stars!!!
Analena J. Mar 2016
We were out for a girls weekend and this house was perfect. Everyone had a comfortable bed, the communal spaces were perfect! Such a gorgeous location and so peaceful!
Helen L. Feb 2016
4 families enjoyed our stay very much. Proximity to Mt. Hood for skiing is terrific. The home was perfectly laid out for us, with plenty of sleep, recreation, and cooking space. The view is lovely. We appreciate being able to bring our dog. Thank you.
Jacob N. Feb 2016
Comfortably accommodated 15 adults and 2 infants. Easy access to Mt hood meadows. Huge great room with plenty of seating for everyone.
Jen M. Oct 2015
The home is spacious and great for a big group to be able to spread out. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen has adequate supplies. If you are planning to cook something that requires a specific size pot/pan I recommend bringing your own. The bedding and linens were all fresh and clean but the floors were dirty with dog hair. The house is definitely dog friendly and smells of dog. The views are amazing!
Andrew K. Aug 2015
With new towels and sheets and a few maintenance issues dealt with, would be perfect.
Mandy A. Aug 2015
I booked River Song for our Company Advance and it was a huge success. Our team members raved about the beauty of the location, the house was the perfect layout to facilitate sharing and presentations, and the kitchen was well equipped for sharing meals. We loved our time at this beautiful home, and would encourage other companies to schedule their retreat there too! Thank you!!!!
David D. Jul 2015
This house was amazing. Perfect for a large group. Its a lot bigger than it looks in pictures. It can easily accommodate 20 people.

Close by to downtown Hood River there are plenty of bars and restaurants to go to. The full kitchen is perfect if you want to stay in a cook with the group. Safeway grocery store is a short drive away.

Highly recommended for large groups. I would 100% stay here again.

Great house and perfect for all kinds of groups. We went as a wedding party but would be great for families too. It's very secluded and private with amazing views. It also has a great yard space perfect for all kinds of outdoor games.

This home is the ideal place to have a wedding, and we were so pleased with the spacious house and basement, the gorgeous, sweeping orchard and mountain views, and the wonderful Vacasa staff who made sure everything was perfect for our arrival. We had a rockin party out there and it couldn't have been more perfect!

Rented this property for relatives to stay in for a wedding; it is great for kids
- lower floor had a ping-pong and football table; main floor has plenty of room in dining, kitchen, living room area; the views are awesome! The Dish TV was a little confusing to use; the four bedrooms upstairs have a jack/Jill shared bathroom between two bedrooms; master has its own and basement bedroom has its own. Main floor has shower/bathroom as well; we enjoyed this property and all our relatives were happy as well! Will look in future at having family events at the place!

We loved the this home. We were a group of 16 and we will definitely return.

This venue is designed for a large family or a good size group or friends. The house has plenty of places to sleep and plenty of bathrooms. The view of Mt Adams out the back window adds to the location of the vacation house. Hot tub and other amenities were all very well maintained.

Space Space Space!

Good job!

I booked River Song for five nights through the Thanksgiving holiday and thorougly enjoyed it. Over time, the kitchen has been much better stocked than previous reviews would lead you to believe...more now as I accidentally left behind a turkey baster and a cookie scoop...a small price to pay. The views from every window of the house are simply spectacular. The overall size of the property and amount of floor space needed for people to congregate or have privacy, as they wish, makes this property perfect...plenty of space for both. While it does sleep 18-20, you do need to consider the number of couples and singles who will be staying there. You do have 6 bedrooms to work with, but only five are private...the sixth would mean two couples are staying in the same room, or used as we did...for a family. All of the singles ended up on sofas which a few weren't thrilled about, but thankfully, the sofas were comfortable too. A word to the wise...bring someone along with some understanding of technology as the televsion took some doing to figure out. We also found that when several peoople were using the wifi at the same time, that they kept getting dropped so if you have enough people to tax the small router's capabilities, be prepared to reset it from time to time. And finally, while it is really easy to find in the daylight...finding it at night proved to be a bit of a nightmare. If at all possible, I would find a way to provide better directional markings. If you miss the turn, you end up lost in the pear orchard, or worse, attacked by two large, mean dogs who, despite your best efforts, will not get out from around your car. Not even honking will bring the owners out for some time. With me, when they finally surfaced, it was clear that they were tired of directing lost vacationers to the River Song Chateau. Overall...lovely, especially for 5-6 couples and a few children who really want to enjoy the solitude and grandeur afforded by the great northwest. Happy Holidays. :-)

This was the nicest homes we have rented in the Hood River area. The location is great, the views are amazing. The area is quiet and relaxing and the house itself is large enough for a group of 20 to spread out as well as get together for meals or games.

November is a beautiful time to visit Hood River and the surrounding area. The fall leaves are changing and the Fruit stand are full of the end of summer harvests. Dress warmly and enjoy the beautiful fireplace and hot tub after spending a day exploring!

We rented this property for a company staff retreat and it was a complete success. The house is large enough for multiple people to enjoy the space and all find a place to comfortably sleep. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook some great meals. Overall, the location and view are by far the best. Because it's on a pear orchard, the house is extremely private and separated from the neighbors. The views out of every window are incredible! It was cloudy during our stay so we couldn't see the mountains but that didn't hide the lovely fall colors on all of the surrounding trees. With the hot tub and massive fire place in the living room, this was the perfect place to work and relax. I hope I have the opportunity to stay here again in the near future!

This property is incredible, and the house is spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is convenient and the views are outstanding. It was perfect for our large group (16 people for 2 nights with families joining for an afternoon bbq). We had space to meet as large groups, small groups, and to play--exactly what we hoped for.
Excellent hot tub and the ping pong table was used a lot! Kitchen is lovely and open and so functional with 2 ovens and 2 dishwashers (be sure an bring platters for a large group, and sharp knives for preparing and serving food).
Thanks for making this wonderful home available for us to enjoy!

Our family had such a great time. We had ten adults and six kids. So much room. The views are amazing. The kithchen was huge. Plenty of bedrooms for our clan.
Thank you so much.
Manager response:
We are so pleased to have assisted you in planning your relaxing family getaway! Thank you for sharing your review.

This house is amazing. All of the photos are very accurate.

Being a group of chefs, we spent most time in the kitchen. It was VERY well stocked. It had two dish washers, two ovens (plus a bonus oven downstairs), and plenty of plates, cups, silverware, bowls, baking dishes... etc. There are measuring cups and spoons too... really anything you need.

Contrary to some reviews, we all found the beds and bedding very comfy. There are plenty of extra blankets, pillows, etc...

The hot tub is newer looking with plenty of space for multiple people.

And the house is immaculate!

I wish that the rental company would have told us about the automatic dog door in the laundry room, because we would have loved to use it! I didn't see it until my last day, doing laundry, but still quite a bonus for the next renters!

Ping pong and fuse ball in the basement were great! And nice to have the games away from most of the bedrooms.

You won't be let down with this house if you have a large party (or even if you don't!).

We can't wait to come back and rent it again.

Our group of 18 thoroughly enjoyed this home. It's very comfortable and there's a lot of room to spread out. The views and setting are spectacular. The downstairs is a bit "unfinished" but that did not detract from our overall stay. The kitchen could be better stocked if you are a family who will be doing a lot of cooking (like we did.) Bring your own large salad bowl, good knives, and salt & pepper. Aside from this, we would definitely stay here again.
Manager response:
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. We appreciate your feedback and will try and get the kitchen stocked better for your next stay. Thanks again!

This property is located in the most beautiful private setting amongst orchards with a territorial view that includes both Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood. The house sleeps a large number of people, with comfortable beds and 5 bathrooms. The kitchen and dining room are also able to accommodate a large number of people.
Tara B. Oct 2013
This home was absolutely perfect for our wedding. Stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere! Although the $1,000 fee covers general wear on the house for high occupancy, I do believe it was too steep for having to send guests out to grab toilet paper because we ran out. Overall I would definitely rent from Vacasa again. Any issue I had didn't ruin my wedding, just added a little stress, but I do feel that they would have fixed it if there had been any time to let them know prior to my actual wedding.
Manager response:
First of all congratulations! We are glad that you had a great wedding at this beautiful home. I'm sorry that minor stress was caused by some stocking issues. Thanks for letting us know so we can make proper adjustments for future wedding parties. Thank you again for the review and we wish you all the best. Hope to have you back again.
Darla S. Sep 2013
we had a weddding in the family at Mt Hood Bed an Breakfast and it was close enough. The kids had space to spread out and play. It was difficult to find in the orchard maize the first time...better signage would have done it. One road sign missing.

Loved the fact that an early check in was offered but no one knew to take advantage of it until too late.

Our party of 12 stayed at this Hood River rental home for 4 nights this past week. We found the location and site-ing of the home to be spectacular amongst acres of pear trees and with a clear view of Mt. Adams to the north and partial view of Mt. Hood to the south. The house was, as advertised, easily able to accommodate our party with 6 bed rooms and bath rooms. It is a well designed, but unfinished home, with a beautiful great room, dining room, and fully stocked kitchen. The main deck on the north side of the house has a fabulous view of the expansive orchards and Mt. Adams. There is a constant, pleasing distant background sound of the Hood River rapids below the home. The only negatives about this home have been discussed in previous reviews. There is a lot of finish work (moldings, window treatments, etc) that needs to be completed. While this did not detract from our positive experience, it was a bit of a problem when we tried to get cross ventilation to cool the house down (we could not get the air conditioner to work and the days were 90 degrees or more). Specifically, because at least 3 additional decks had not been completed, the doors in two of the bedrooms and in the dining room are unable to be opened to prevent falls. Luckily, Hood River has a constant breeze and with other windows and doors opened, we were able to cool the house down at night. Also, there is essentially no bedroom furniture other than a bed, making it difficult to store clothing outside of our luggage.

In summary, the minor negatives were know to us prior to our rental dates, and did not detract significantly from us having a wonderful 4 nights/5 days in this wonderful vacation home. Every one of our party of twelve expressed an interest in renting this property from Vacasa again.
Manager response:
We appreciate your detailed and thorough feedback. We are glad you still enjoyed your trip even with some issues that you encountered. We continually strive to make adjustments and upgrades to this great house in order to offer the best guest experience. Thanks again for your review and see you again soon!

We rented this house for a weekend wedding in Hood River, and it was absolutely perfect for what we needed. The setting is absolutely gorgeous with views of Mt Hood and Mt Adams, and it is removed from other houses so feels quite private.

The house has a giant kitchen with 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers, and tons of counter space -- great for cooking a giant meal with friends!

The house seems like it was built to be a rental (not the most comfy beds, no art on the walls, unfinished basement, etc.) but this didn't have any impact on how much we enjoyed it. Ping pong table, lots of TVs, hot tub, beautiful porch, awesome views, giant kitchen, and 6 bedrooms make this a great place for a large group!
Manager response:
Thank you for your review! We are continually working with the owner to add more amenities and we appreciate your suggestions on how to improve the guest experience. We are glad you had a great time and we hope to have you back again soon!

Had about 20 guys from our church join together and fellowship in this house last weekend and we had a wonderful experience. The house was beautiful and we did our best to keep it in clean condition and adhere to all of the house policies and check out procedures. I know all of us were very surprised at how expansive the house was and how well it was able to accommodate. We would definitely consider staying here again and had a great time!

This house was a great location and wonderful place to stay with your family and friends. It had so much room for everyone and the kitchen was purfect for our family to hang out, cook and enjoy each other. Thank you Vacasa Rentals.
Jon F. Dec 2012
If you have a large group and share the cost, this is one of the best vacation deals you will find anywhere. Especially if you enjoy outdoor activities, there is very much to do in the town of Hood River, more in the summer I would suspect. Mount Hood also offers entertainment. The landscape is breathtaking. Aside from that it is a little out of the way, so as long as you are fine with that, this is a stellar place.
Arvin S. Dec 2012
The cabin has a good surrounding views of hills, orchard and valley. The hot tub was excellent. Overall we had a good experience.

There were 10 adults gathering for a family reunion with our 93 year old Mother. Th e house is so spacious and open that it was perfect for our venue. Loved having 5 bathrooms! Thank you!

I am happy that we stayed here. The occasion was for my daughter's wedding at Mt.Hood Organic Farm at Parksdale. I am impressed with the place. Many of my relatives who came from East coast and south were impressed too. They had not seen such a wonderful place. The weather was fantastic. It is a great place to relax and enjoy. There are plenty of out door things to do for families and children. I would recommend highly without any reservation.
Dawn R. May 2012
We had a fantastic family reunion here, with plenty of room for everyone. The house is pretty new, and still under construction in places. For example, locked doors lead to nonexistent decks. Town is nearby, with lots to do there and friendly locals. One small downside is that there isn't really any place to walk near the 2-acre property as the farmers do not want anyone in the orchards. But, oh, those orchards are stunningly beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
wendy i. May 2012
We were looking for a property that would comfortably house our grown and growing family of 18. This property fit the bill and was close enough to Hood River to get there quickly if we wanted to. It was very comfortable and had enough separate places to allow for privacy for individual families, and a large, beautiful gathering area for all of us to be when we wanted to be together. We had a great time and enjoyed the home and the beautiful view.
Suzanne H. Mar 2012
We (two families) rented this property for several days over spring break. It was a treat to be able to wake up at a reasonable hour and still have a full day on the mountain. The kids had a blast playing hide and seek and running around in this very spacious home. All of the rooms (and there are a lot!) are a very generous size and it is equipped with all sorts of fun, unexpected, features... a water fountain, hot water on demand for tea or oatmeal, an electric animal door are a few that stuck in my mind. It is obviously very newly built and therefore not quite 'finished'. I would second the previous comment about reading lamps in bedrooms and the living room. I suspect that the owners are just not quite finished - given their attention to detail elsewhere, it only makes sense. Despite this, we had a wonderful stay and would certainly look to rent this property again.
McKenzie R. Jan 2012
Would recommend this for any occasion.
Kristi K. Jan 2012
Our group enjoyed our stay here. The washer and dryer went out the last day of our stay. I called and it wasn't a problem for our group. It was nice to have the 3 levels, our group enjoyed the ping pong table and the kitchen was great for our group to prepare meals. We would stay here again.
Steffany E. Dec 2011
Overall, this is a beautiful home with wonderful views. We would rent this home again, but we would be considering brining in some items we didn't find in the home. Great views, loved looking at Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams all day!
Jacqueline D. Dec 2011
The house over all was very good. Very little furniture, main floor had 2 couch's and all the rooms only had a bed in them. Carpet had stain's on them. The full size basement was a great place for kids and teenagers to go to entertain themselfs and keep the noice off of the main floor. In the picture there was a tv there but it was gone. Kitchen was great, two dishwashers & two ovens. Everyone loved the place overall. It was great for a large family reunion & my fathers 80th birthday.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, we cleaned the stains on the carpet that you mentioned and we have removed the picture of that TV as it was moved. Thanks again and we look forward to having you back!
