the resort is a place of beauty amidst nature and pine trees, and this location boasts the convenience of having one of only two grocery stores in the area just a walk through the backyard.

The two-story home has a modern feel with an emphasis on comfort. Through the front door you'll enter a living room with two large, pillowy sofas set in front of a 50-inch flat screen cable TV. Bring your favorite DVDs and gather here for movie night, made complete with 5.1 surround sound and warmth from the gas fireplace.

Continue onto the dining room, where you will enjoy family time and delicious meals. There are six chairs around the table, and a few raised stools at the kitchen bar right behind for extra seating. The chef of your group will enjoy a full kitchen stocked with all major appliances including a dishwasher to make clean-up a breeze.

The back deck offers furniture and plenty of space for relaxing in the yard. Grill some steaks on the gas grill and then soak in the private hot tub after a day of adventure or relaxation - a wall surrounding the tub gives you some desired privacy. For more fun outside, take some of the cruisers from the garage and ride over to SHARC, where guests can enjoy waterslides.

Kids will be drawn to the loft upstairs - with a foosball table and flat screen TV with DVD player, they'll be entertained for hours. A couple of them will enjoy sleeping here on the futon and Murphy bed. A sliding glass door brightens the room with natural light and opens to an upper level deck, which is great for fresh air.

There are three bedrooms in the house, providing sleeping arrangements for eight. On the main floor you'll find the master suite with a king-size bed, full private bath, and a sliding door directly to the hot tub! Upstairs, you'll find two more bedrooms - one with a queen bed and the other with a set of twin bunk beds. There is a full bath up here, and another half-bath on the main floor for convenience, as well as a washer/dryer for any laundry you might have. WiFi is also provided.

A vacation at the resort is always a great escape, with too many outdoor activities nearby to count. Go biking on over 30 miles of trails, hiking along the Deschutes River at nearby Benham Falls, or get in the water with canoeing, kayaking, and stand-up paddle boards rented from the Marina. Golfers will enjoy a choice of two courses in Sunriver, and horseback riders can get some time in at the Sunriver Stables.

For day trips, venture nine miles up Hwy 97 to the High Desert Museum and have some fun learning about the nature of the area - great for all ages! A little farther away is Paulina Lake, about a 30-mile drive to the southeast. This lake is located in a volcano crater, and features an amazing lava flow that sparkles when viewed from atop the view at Paulina Peak. Hike around the lake, go fishing, or just enjoy the scenery - any time spent here is worthwhile!

Of course, Sunriver is also known for its proximity to Mt. Bachelor. Skiers and snowboarders will enjoy the short, 20-mile drive to the slopes in winter. Twenty miles in the other direction is Bend, where you will enjoy delectable micro-brews and restaurant options.
