Hood River is famous for its world-class windsurfing, kiteboarding, and gorgeous views of the Columbia River Gorge. With Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood visible, skiing and snowboarding are only a 45-minute drive from this lovely Hood River getaway. The shopping, restaurants, and hot spots of the charming downtown area are only a few steps out the door.

The main level is inviting with high ceilings, an open living and dining space, and a large, country-inspired kitchen. There's a cozy sitting space beneath a huge window where you can see the Gorge, plus with a gas fireplace, so it's easy to curl up with a glass of wine and relax. The dining table seats up to six, and with two chairs that pull up to the kitchen bar, there's room for everyone to sit and chat while you prepare an awesome meal.

The kitchen has charming white cabinets, with plenty of counter space and extras like a coffee grinder, blender, and slow cooker. Just out the door, there's the spacious back deck.

Down the hallway, you'll find the main bedroom and a second bedroom. The master is delightful with a queen-size bed, large windows and plenty of sunlight. The second bedroom is perfect for the kids or a couple of friends to snuggle up in with twin bunk beds and charming bedspreads, not to mention the toys and games in the corner. The full bathroom on this level is bright and no one will have to wait in line too long.

The lower level of this home offers additional space and is perfect for any part of your group wanting a little extra privacy. With light purple paint, leather couches, and a TV in the sitting area, it's easy to take a break from it all. Plus with the kitchenette, guests staying down here won't have to go very far to grab a snack or a beer. Around the corner, two bedrooms await, both with queen-size beds that will be very inviting after a day of skiing, windsurfing or hiking. This home will comfortably sleep up to eight guests.

With cable, and WiFi throughout, as well as a DVD and CD player, everyone will stay entertained during the evening hours. This Hood River getaway is also dog-friendly, so for an additional nightly fee, you can bring your dogs along!

Hood River is known as a 'sports mecca' with all it has to offer for skiing, snowboarding, windsurfing, kite surfing, hiking, kayaking and mountain biking nearby. With Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood both visible, it's no wonder Double Mountain Brewery fits in so well here, plus the cute shops and restaurants that dot the streets of downtown. Nothing beats coming home to a warm, private hot tub after trying your hand at any of the many outdoor activities available. It's located on the second-floor deck!

Mekong Thai restaurant is right next door and the popular Brian's Pourhouse is just a 10-minute walk. Portland is only about an hour away, and the incredible Columbia River Gorge is spectacular any time of year.
